Discussion -- 300 Word Challenge #8

Thanks for the review Victoria (You're worse than Starbeast getting everything in in so few words while I seem unable to write anything less than an essay per comment....) :)

And SB glad to see you back at it. :D

Thanks for the review, Victoria. :)

I've never tried the 300 word challenge before, but here's my first! It turned out better than I expected, too, which is nice. :)

SB - Headlines say:

Beastly reviewer makes stellar return after threatened absence!:D

Thanks Stormcrow. I do enjoy reviewing these amazing stories here.

I'm still hoping we can have the 300 Challenge expanded to every other month.

Starbeast: Notable for its vast sweep and enormous theme.

Wow, thanks a million Victoria Silverwolf. This was one of a few ideas, and I chose idea #2. Good thing, I saw one of the tales posted that was similar to idea #4.

Perpetual Man, I like your lengthy reviews, you cover a lot of ground while delivering wonderful comments.

And yes PM, I feel like Batman Returns star Michael Keaton reprising his role.

Many thanks for the reviews, Starbeast and Victoria.:)

My pleasure Talysia.

You'd need to promise a vote....

Victoria and Strbeast, thanks for the reviews. :)

You're very welcomed. PLUS, I will promise you a vote if you pay me the amount of...wait, I'll PM you about how much it will cost. Keep it a secret, mum's the word.

Thanks SB and Victoria ... glad you both enjoyed my tale of woe

It was creepy and freaky fun Luiglin.

Thanks for the reviews SB and Victoria.

You're welcome Ratsy. Keep up the good work.

Mouse - Great story about an immortal who has absolutely nothing to live for or to satisfy one's self with. You blew my mind with this one!

Juelz4sure - A fantastic tale of legendary history told by an elderly man, about an epic Orc War. This is like a missing chapter from the Lord of the Rings, I love it. Vrall Lives!

Bowler1 - I had a similar idea like your marvelous entry, and you wrote it better than I envisioned it. Excellent stuff!

BigJ - This is quite a drama you created, and thinking about all of the rhyming words you found to fit perfectly into your poem, makes my brain hurt. You grabbed my heart with your story.

DthenB - A doomed crew of magical people die on a burning vessel. Disturbing, yet astonishingly written tale that kept me captivated.

Karn Maeshalanadae - There is something out there, something born of shadow, of hatred, from DEATH! Awesome! I loved this, and also how you finished your story with a warning.

Allmywires - A spooky pirate story, excellent! I like your descriptive words, I felt like I was at a nearby table listening to the Captain and watching the narrator become uncomfortable. Very cool.

I'm happy you joined us Lenny.

Idea #1 was taken and idea#2 refused to move past the opening scene, idea #3 appeared this morning.
So I checked in to see if that was taken. Not yet but I did see the standard is really high. Springs, Mouse and Juliana would probably be getting my votes if I was voting today.
