Just a few words of thanks

Victoria Silverwolf and Starbeast for the lovely reviews, and of course I forgot to thank Perp for his earlier one (don't know what is going on with my mind lately, forgetting things left, right, and centre - although I did get malaria when I was overseas so....that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it).

Best of all, a tie for hopewrites' first place??? that is a great shock, along with the runner uppery I received from Starbeast. Thank you both very much, I knew my entry wasn't up to much this month but being a bit Obs/compulsive I didn't want to miss a month, and I am glad I made the effort

Its always hard to choose, but for some reason this month was extra hard - original "shortlist" had about 20 names on it and even those were hard to choose over the remaining entries. Everyone is just getting too darn good at this!

Anyway, after much heartbreak, reduced my list to ten with two finalists. Victoria got the vote. Congratulations to all entries, superb month!

So, voting was incredibly easy this month, so much so, that I've decided not to... (Will that work any better than asking for more votes??)

It was easy, actually: all I had to do was whittle the whole lot down to a shortlist and then make a final list and then choose one - what could be easier than that?

Any of the finalists could have won, but I kept coming back to Starbeast's story and smiling. A lot of my choices were humorous this month, and Riff's dreadful joke was wonderful in its awfulness... I'm surprised he didn't release Ursa Major into the heavens to infect the cosmos.
