Discussion thread -- 75 WORD WRITING CHALLENGE February 2013

Heh! I know an Aberdonian tale about that. Not one I can repeat here. Too many sweary words! :D

I'd just like to remind everyone who participates in the 75 Word Challenges but not the 300 worders: you don't have to enter a story to vote in either challenge, and you have through February 15th to read and vote for stories in the January 300 Word.

I am in, first page as usual. I wrote 2 stories I liked, but this idea came over me and it felt like the perfect time to try it. The long time challengers will get it I think!

Very clever, ratsy -- it didn't take me too awfully long, though probably longer than it should have. :D

Hmm. I've written something, but it went its own way and now I'm not sure if it actually fits either the theme or genre. Considering that I started out with both in mind, I think that might be an achievement.

Karn, my good man, too clever by half!! I can see that being the script for one of the original Star Trek episodes. Spock lifts an eye brow and says "fascinating."

Ah well, there I was, not going to post until I had finished the two pieces for my application...but it was floating in my head, so I blame my lack of progress today to that, and now that it is posted and I can cook my dinner whilst listening to The Hobbit I will be able to complete the other pieces. Yes. Yes I will, and if not it will be because I am knitting yet another dinosaur...

I saw the challenge theme yesterday, got an idea, brushed it up and posted. I made sure not to read anyone's story until I was ready. Some very dark tales and poetic entries so far.

*wanders back over still chuckling*
very nice StarBeast! Chocolate indeed. quite liked it.

Thank you very much. I was surprised how far I got with it. The original inspiration used up so few words, I aspired to complete the cycle. Immodest as it is to say so, it is my favorite challenge creation to date.

I've posted mine, and I'm glad I finally got an idea for the story. Usually I have a fairly good idea of what I'm going to write within a day of seeing the theme, but this time was different. I'm looking forward to reading the other entries now.:)

Kylara, that is some nice piece of writing. Your application was a worthy sacrifice for that story to see the light of day. You're at the top of my list for now.

Thanks kromanjon :D made my day much better thank you, I'm glad you liked it :)
