Err, yes, when I said "my story", I meant one of Hope's extras -- mine did not get written, or finished, or something. Don't worry, whoever, I fully understand the "not finishing" thing!

Thanks for the extra, Hope! I've been trying to read it, but people keep interrupting, so it will be later tonight when everyone is in bed.
 
*nervous hand wringing* it was a one off rough draft I knocked out from lightning like inspiration that wouldn't shut up late what ever night I wrote it... I'm planning on going back and making something more of it later. Honest! *blush* I'll send along the revised copy whenever it's done.

Sorry, I have a bad habit of finding everything I could have done better after I submit things. doing the challenges is helping though so I plan on getting back into them.

Anyway, I say we give Kylara a day or two to finish up, then I'll post the guessing thread. Okay by everyone?
 
I've just printed mine off. Waiting for the tea to brew then I'm going to laze on the sofa reading it before I start work in Brixton this afternoon.:)

Been a bit sneaky and read the first few paras while I'm waiting on the teapot.... Loving the misty London vibe so far and now we're off to a parched Sicily; rather wonderful for my tastes so an early thanks to the author. :D

KMK you've been so good to organize this for us, sounds like you've had a rather hectic back stage. I just wanted to throw my thanks out there again for all you've done.
 
TDZ, if you tell folks whose story you wrote, couldn't we just go back and re-read the requests to find out who wrote what when the samples go up?
 
People could. Ive always found cheating more effort than its worth though. So I figured no one would. I was beginning to wonder how four people ended up with the number of stories I turned in. But I haven't even reread what I wrote because I've heard my voice compared (charmingly) to some other posters here.
Putting my watery memory to good cause. :)
 
I thought, and there's a massive possibility I've just made this up, that the story excerpts were going up with the name of the person who requested them. So: This is Mouse's story, but who wrote it... A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away etc. Or, just having the description 'I'd like a story about magical ponies who foil an armed robbery' etc. Here's the story, who wrote it?
 
That's what I was planning yes. I'm having nightmares where I discover I sent the wrong story to the wrong person...

Oh, dear. I hadn't processed it that far, either -- since people were mentioning it and we know whose story we got, I thought it was ok. Sorry! Well, there's your freebie for the day, guys. Or, you know, stay away from page 1! :D
 
Perhaps I shall just put up the excerpts/titles then (some will be obvious from teh titles whose story request they match)
 
Yep that's how I took it, too.

I finished reading mine and really liked it. Thank you kind author :D I don't want to give too much away but the (censored) section was like you went into my childhood summer holidays! (Without the nasty elements, of course).:cool:

I am going to have to bow out I'm afraid! The dying relative died yesterday so yet another funeral to help organise, and her husband and daughter are devastated, so yet again, writing time is up the creek...so I have no idea when I'll be able to finish the story, sorry :( so go ahead and post and I'll try to pop in as much as possible over the next couple of weeks until it is all over!
 
Kylara, I am very sorry for your loss. Don't worry about us right now.
