Many good entries and an interesting challenge. I could almost feel the writing rust in my fingers and brains as i wrote my entry but it felt good to do it.

Best of all, several of the entries actually fired my imagination for my own writing and love to all for making that happen.

A complete story finally popped into my head. I had three small different ideas, but the third idea expanded in my mind.

I'll go back and read the other tales when I return. I only skimed them. Good stuff though.

MT – You know, I just can't think how to make that last line rhyme... ;) A great little poem that indulges in the ancient conflict of the world been spherical or flat. As we can see the answer is obviously flat, but the humour with which the story is presented and that literal cut-off point at the end, makes for a fun romp guaranteed to raise a smile.

Brev – Just because it is not the end of our world does not mean to say that it might not be the end f someone else’s. This is a superb story that allows us to see things from another angle, but at the same time it is an example of how anger and vengeance cane set us on a path that can be final. Driven and consumed by the need for revenge one man can close off our world from another, a bitter ending for both perhaps.

Tywin – This is just spot on entertainment. I could almost hear our two characters and their 'discussion' about faith and taking that step. There is almost a lesson in the blind faith shown by the shaman, choosing not to see what is beneath the cover of clouds. Of course in this instance we learn that the leaper, or not leaper, is right, but it is well told and a perfect ending.

Lenny – Another fun entry delivered perfectly, but with word play that might even make Ursa proud. There is a sense of vision here as well, and almost madcap idea that sounds like common sense, that levelling hills and usine them to make more land... it's like a rolling pin on pastry. Only it isn't. A lot of fun, some nice construction – I particularly liked the death knell/death to knolls. Brilliant.

Chris – The worlds and words of Professor Tolkien revisited in a beautiful and moving story that talks once more of the end of the Earth, in this case Middle Earth. There is that sad feel a perfect echo to the end of the books, as the world changes and the old races slowly move away, setting sail one last time. The poem is, as always, wonderfully constructed, with the rhyming spot on.

A nice few posts over the weekend (means I'm not up to date again), but ten days in and I've started to think about mine once more, and the way time evaporates around me these days.

With the unending decorating going on and a mini op. coming up this weekend I'll probably have to post as is and be happy with it...

Mine's done. Now I can read all the others and comments.
Also hope to get the workshop piece posted and read all the new ones posted there in the next day or two. Whee!!!

The Ends of the Earth

BigJ - Spooky, but fun read about evil minded outworlders with the intention to destroy our world. But, how to do it, to these, humans. Good stuff.

Victoria Silverwolf - Excellent title for this comical fantasy. Digging through the world would be a unique way of making it to the other side though. The devil was a nice touch

Hex - A humourous fantasy about royalty and the incredible lengths they would go through to obtain acceptance in order to marry the one they desire.

Springs - Quite a funny and involving tale highlighting children who set things in motion to get what they really want out of life. And best of all, their parents are happy in the end.

AMB - Humor abounds this month, and we continue with a story that goes over the edge into frightful dark comedy. Look out below, cause this is another goody.

Cathy M. - Ah! Dragons bring horror to this terrifing tale. Will humanity survive the encroaching reptilian hordes? What a scary thought, being dinner for a giant lizard.

Alchemist - In this fictional story, we find a very good twist in this weird science offering that makes for a stimulating episode in the Twilight Zone.

Kromanjon - We return to the comedy with, the Wanderer. A delightful entry that made me chuckle. I love the simplicity of it. And it is nice to meet you Kromanjon.

Like the Morningstar - A unique tale of strange fiction that has an unusual ending I didn't expect. And it is nice to meet you, Like the Morningstar.

Stormcrow - A tale of a cosmic female being that is discribed in this story in a dazzling way. Like a beautiful poem unfolding the very fabric of outer space.

Ratsy - I'm tickled with fun and smile at this science fiction fantasy which dropped me off into the deep end of humor. Very cool.

David Evil Overlord - Whoa, you caught me off-guard with your mighty and genetically mythic tale. Marvelous story with interesting images at the end. Well done.

Reiver33 - Tremendous tale with intense drama that catches the imagination and throttles forward into great fantasy.

Bowler1 - An astounding science fiction epic! Wow! This would make a titanic blockbuster of a movie. I love it.

Thank you, Starbeast - lots of explosions!

I do like it when there are new posts nearly every day, something to keep me entertained. There's been a nice steady flow this month, with some really cool ideas.

SleepyDormouse - Nice original idea, and well executed!

Tactical Loco - Another creative idea

Wintersblock - Very well done, it created a mood very nicely

You're welcome Bowler1. The stories were flooding faster than I thought they would, and that put me on page three. I really wanted to check out the other tales, but I resisted, until I posted my own. I'm glad I didn't read any of the other stories, because like you said, there are lots of good ones. They would have clouded my thoughts.

The Ends of the Earth
(part two)

Luiglin - Wonderful science fiction romantic tale. It would be so great to change events in order to make the one you love happy. Beautiful and heart-warming. (sigh)

Mosaix - Order up and dine on this tasty and comical menu idea. I did a double-take when I skimmed through these submissions the other day. I think Mr Adams would enjoy reading your complementary entry as much as I did.

Karn Maeshalanadae - Wow! What a way to begin a story, with an astonishing crash of planets! Then you captured my attention again, by letting us know humans were to blame. Awesome.

Glen - A outstanding tale that sticks in my thoughts and foretells what's in the back of my mind. A great story that makes a young mind think and an old one lament. Well done sir.

Venusian Broon - What the? Your magnificant tale is almost an exact copy of my first idea. This is fantastic, we were both on the same level of thinking. Bravo sir, you beat me to the punch. AND, I like yours better, you had a zinger at the end.

Alex Mason - A very good and unexpected story which takes place in a classroom. I like that idea and the title of your tale. Plus, it's nice to meet you Alex Mason.

RoninJedi84 - Love does many strange things to people, even if the love from the other is not returned. Spectacular romantic tragedy of a one-sided love story. You tugged at my emotions with your great drama.

TheDustyZebra - And we are back to the comedy once again. You got me good with the zinger you planted at the end. Here I am reading along and absorbing the sesational imagery, and Wham-mo! Good stuff.

Juliana - A familiar tale which you rebooted and shaped it into a dazzling fantasy (slash) science fiction story with fun and colorfulness. Cool.

MemoryTale - Excellent poem that flows with well written verse, then clobbers you at the end with a zinger that is sure to bring a smile to the face of the reader.

Brev - Charming and fierce story of deception and revenge. Powerful words woven with anger for the temptress who caused a man great grief. Tremendous fantasy.

Tywin - I laughed at the last line of your marvelous story. I love the dialogue between the Shaman and the pupil. Pure delight and dark humored entertainment.

Lenny - Alright, more comedy! Wonderful idea you created, making a newscast about Angels. You caught me off-guard with your dynamite entry that is great fun to read.

Chrispenycate - It's remarkable how you sculpted your colorful and stylish poem with a Tolkienesque theme. I really enjoyed the way in which the words were written as well. Nicely done sir.

You're welcome Springs. Yes, I was taken back by them. The more the merrier I say. :)

Cheers SB.

You're welcome Luiglin. Before I submitted my own tale, I kept checking how many posts for both dicussion and "75" entries there were. I was burning inside to read them. :D

Thank You for your review Starbeast! 'Dazzling' - well, I'm delighted - for sure!

You are immensely welcomed Stormcrow. BTW, I laugh at myself now because of how many times I misspelled "immensely" in the past. Such a tiny mistake, irks me as a BIG typo error.
