Star Wars: Rebels

I think it's the pilot. It was in Morrisons for 7 of our Earth pounds.

Yeah it looks like the pilot episode is out on DVD...

Meanwhile, this week's encounter with some monsters in the dark made for some good action.. One think I'm not liking is the annoying droid. R2D2 he ain't...

This was a good one, got to see more of Ezra's history, and a nice battle scene on the troop carrier. The Inquisitor was a bit of a spare part this week though, which was dissapointing

I think I can see Disney's plan in regards of this series, and them denying some of the canon that was made under Lucas's guiding hand. His palm print can be seen in everything that there was, but when it comes to the Mickey Mouse company they're doing some slaughter, but they're actually shaping the universe by opening it up rather than coming to the end of the road.

The Droids, The Jedi Order, The Works had to go out from the window without doing them some disorder. And in there we have to accept the truth that Empire's Stormtroops cannot shoot if their life depended on it, but you can see that the brotherhood hasn't forgotten their own. The memorabilia from the Clone Wars lives in the settings, while the whole thing moves towards the Episode 4 - New Hope.

So, like it has been said, it's refreshing to see that Jedi's aren't all too powerful, but they actually follow the blueprint that was developed for the Knights of the Old Republic. They are kind of lost, just like the whole order, while Empire has spread his evil around the galaxy. And in the heart lies the Sith - The Emperor Palpatine, and his apprentice Darth Vader.

But what they never said in the Episode 4 was that the Sith weren't there, that they didn't spread their evil through their lackeys like the Inquisitor. I strongly doubt that he follows full Sith order, but he's actually something that Vader developed under Emporer's acceptance as the next phase enemy - as something bigger than just two of them.

Droids however are bigger than just R2D2 and C3PO. And in there Chopper presents different side of the Ai that powers the Astromechs. He has same kind of personality that we saw in the Clone Wars droids, minus the humour that we saw deeply rooted in the battle-droids, or other mechanical lifeforms. And his humour through what he does is definitely funny, if you allow yourself to laugh at it. He isn't perfect like 3CPO, but something that has been going through a hard-life after it's model had come out from the assembly line.

Nice to see some development of Ezra's abilities, returning to the asteroid full of nasty creatures was a decent way of evening the odds with the Imperial forces on their trail. The Inquisitor is still suffering from the problem of being super-powerful but not able to defeat a poorly trained Jedi and his padawan (plus a giant creature feature)!!

The overall issue with this show is that our "good guys" are doomed to failure since there's no sign of them by the time A New Hope rolls around...

AS for Chopper, I still find him annoying. But at least he wasn't actively disrupting the team this week, which is an improvement!

Not necessarily. They're pretty small fry, really, in the big picture. I can easily imagine them as part of a larger Rebel Alliance, quietly carrying out their missions on the fringes of the original trilogy.

I wouldn't call it boring, I mean it has tie fighters! :D

The Clone Wars series took a couple of seasons to find its feet, so there's plenty of room for improvement

There's a rumour in the air in regards of Rebels cancellation and making of new series to support the upcoming movies.

According to TV Guide, original Yoda voice actor and puppeteer Frank Oz has joined the cast of Star Wars Rebels Season 1 to voice his swamp-dwelling mystic.

Rebels co-creator and executive producer Dave Filoni has explained that Yoda won’t be breaking with the established continuity by leaving his exile, but may be communicating with Kanan Jarrus through the Force in some sort of dream sequence or Use The Force, Luke-type ghostly whispering.

Kaidan's not a master jedi! He's nowhere near to take any other title than the Jedi Knight one, and I'm not even sure if he's or his apprentice is all the way on the light side seeing what happened with the beast in the asteroid. But anyways I'm glad Yoda is back one way or another, and I would love to see him in the Rebels.

I just watched it. I think it was the best episode so far. Having Yoda in this story added so much to the Star Wars lore and having Frank Oz do his voice was awesome.

"Path of the Jedi" Glad this show is back and thought this episode was outstanding!
Really enjoying Ezra's Jedi training. Seeing him traverse the temple while being haunted by visions and find his Kaiburr crystal was really cool. Frank Oz returning as the voice of Yoda was awesome! Interesting design to Ezra's lightsaber at the end.

"Idiot's Array" wasn't great but it was a bit of fun plus it
sees the return of Billy Dee Williams as a young Lando Calrissian.
