On Malevolence, I read the stories as they arrived. If I liked them they went to Jeff. We have decided that it's better to read in one go and send all at same time. It's more time-efficient.

So as we speak I haven't read any of the Space submissions but will as soon as the window is closed.

Don't worry, yours will be amazing! :)
 
aaah i see...

after the quick response on malevolence i must admit i was getting unfairly impatient on the space submission! now i can relax in the knowledge that it's still in the running!

and i tried to make it amazing, i just hope it turned out like that! strange things sometimes happen between my brain and the page :)

Cheers for that post, Gary. Whilst I haven't submitted to Space, I have to Aliens and Magic, Metal and Steam, so it's useful to know that the absence of a reply isn't (necessarily) because you're trying to come up with a polite way of declining.

haven't read any yet till we have enough, or the window closes. Got quite alot now, mind so Jeff and Teresa will be happy.

Chris Penycate is doing the final polish/copy edit. He's just done After Midnight and I must say the book is looking rather good. :)

Then just me/Jeff to look over, author to check and RED button gets pushed.
 
Like Mr Orange I was getting twitchy wondering what the situation was... so thanks for the update... can go back to hibernating now like any decent self-respecting old grumpy bear would...

Sorry guys. To be honest I thought you would know I wouldn't leave you all in the lurch.

I think I will have an updates page on TBP so you can check there for news. Will advise soon.:)
 
Anyody watch the Astronauts - Houston we Have a Problem on CH4. I think it's available on the CH4 website.

Now that's an idea for a story - drowning in space!
 
I think you should watch new Cosmos episodes Gary, and start getting that Malevolence book out, as I'm sure there are people out there that wants to get their dirty fingers around it. ;)

It's coming Panu but it takes time to get right. Jeff has had a mountain to climb and once he's done Crispy has to copy edit so I will as soon as I can. I'm taking pre-orders now. £100 each lol:)

You know you can afford it.

Gary, i noticed on the Malevolence press release you mentioned your were about to start reading the Aliens submissions... does that mean you're going through them before Space?

The Space submissions have been slower to come in. I see I have one from you :) So I'm waiting till I get a few more before I read. I know a few people are writing stories, inc Ian Sales.:D

But just because I am reading Aliens doesn't mean the submission window is closing for it.

Hope that makes sense.

I was thinking about your suggestion for an updates page here and think it will be better on the TBP website, I will add it to the menu along the top.

Otherwise I might be seen to be hogging press releases:)
 
That seems fair enough, although all these press releases give me something to read....
 
good to hear Gary... your mention of reading Aliens had me thinking i had my priorities mixed up and so have been hastily scheduling editing time for my submission for that! hoping to get that done next week
 
Gary, I wrote quite a short entry for the Space submission (1500) so when you get to it and if there is any interest, I would be willing to expand on it if you thought it might fit.
