Sekrit Santa 33 1/3

Well, we'll just see how we're sitting by Christmas, and decide then. That would be me, and the frog in my pocket. :)

I'd be willing to try it :) But February may work better for me also...don't quite know how busy January is going to be yet.

Give me a few days to think of what I want, though, please

Oh see now, I'm getting tempted...

Sighs, and tells herself to be good and not over commit....

Okayyyy I'd like a story that blends the real with the magical and has an underlying theme of belief. :)

I want a story where the evil overlord is the hero...:)

I badly want to write this story.

Too late!

Okay, I've thought. If I ask really nicely with cherries on top, can I please have one about a wood elf who really likes to cook, but something goes wrong where she's banned from her colony forever? Throw in a dashing villain that's kind of relatable, add a pinch of forbidden romance, and BAM! You've got it :)

a gal can dream cant she?

honestly all the requests this go round look good. I'm looking forward to the guessing.

Hi all,

I'd like to but looking at the requests so far, if I got one of them, I could not write a single word; the story requests seem more challenging than the...er....challenges ;)

I like to go all-out on the Sekrit Santa workshop because it gets me into creative space much more reflective of a story structure. I like that I have to make a real effort to structure and realise my wild idea into a piece that has (attempts at) good character, pacing, and a payoff. I think the suggestions put forward so far would just stem any ideas (and if you don't mind me saying.... they're a little too prescriptive this time around).

Although, it has just occurred to me that they're not serious suggestions in which case, please hit me many times with the 'taking-things-too-seriously-stick'. :D

I'm not taking my request too seriously, Phyre. And lord knows what anyone else will get from me, last time Mouse got two space guys doing a pick-up in a bar, which wasn't in the remit anywhere. :D

Maybe not, but I bet she loved it :D

I do have an idea for a gay alien on the London tube I could try an breathe some new life into. It never got past idea stage as I'd written three stories with three gay characters as the MC or important supporting characters and I was a bit all-gayed-out. Or gay burnout. Whatever. That idea got shelved.
