Discussion Thread -- SEVENTY-FIVE WORD WRITING CHALLENGE -- January 2014

Remedy -- The use of repeated sentence structures adds to the ritualistic feeling of this tale, allowing the reader to imagine it as an ancient myth of great power.

Tywin -- What is not said is at least as important as what is said in this subtle and moody story.

Howdy,
I'm in trouble, it's -18, wind chill -47 and I can't come up with a COLD story.
I tink mi brane is freeze!

Take your time Bob. Try not to think too hard about a story, let it pop into mind. It will come to you. I thought of one, PM me if you want an idea. If you don't want to, no worries.

Cold/Dark Fantasy
(part four)

Remedy - Doom and gloom spell trouble for those who face the terrible ice man named, Vironix. I really like how you described your wicked creation. Very cool.

Tywin - A story of sadness and dread, the shock of discovering the remains of a friend who met his death by hungry wolves. Such a gruesome way to die. Grimly good.

Perp Man, Victoria and Starbeast - I really appreciate your kind reviews, thank you :)

You are very welcome Remedy.

SB, thanks for the review, and hope you're staying warm.

Where are you at in IL? My hometown is up in the NW suburbs and all my friends and family are snowed in.

Hi Tywin

I live near Chicago, and it's -4F with a slight wind today, but I dressed for the weather. The birds are looking for food outside, I gave them some. Lots of rabbit tracks outside too.

Anyway, keep them stories flying.

Finally got mine in...late for me. I have been quite sick so my brain wouldn't function until now.

Oh, heck!

I was going to make my 75-word comeback this month - unfortunately it was with a Scott vs Admunsen story and mosaix beat me to it. (Mine was going to be different in the details but no doubt alike enough to seem like plagiarism, so I'll play it safe and withdraw gracefully.)

I'll hopefully remember to vote this time.

Thx Springs. It was fun bring the Cap'n out for another run.

Tis the season and all that jazz. Hope you're better now. :)

Thanks Juliana, on day eight and at about 60%...arg...I hope to bust out some 300 word action on the weekend. The image is really cool and it is sparking all sorts of thoughts

I might not be cut out for dark fantasy.
