I was wondering where this thread was. ;)

A great inspiration pic from Glisterspeck.
 
Although I love the picture, and told Glister that in his thread, I don't like the idea of writing a story for a picture of something I know is from someone else's story. So I'm out.
 
Great Picture! Open to interpretation in a zillion ways, so I expect the usual myriad brilliant entries. Unfortunately, I've now got 'Riders on the Storm' stuck in my head... which is a great song, I think I'll download it and play it while I write my entry.:)
 
I like it much as well but will have to wipe all previous knowledge of it from my mind.
 
I think it's pretty cool, and I don't have any previous knowledge of it, so I should be ok. :)
 
I know the pic from the artwork forum, but I always think we interpret another's work (be it art, or fiction, or whatever) in our own way, so I can take the image and let it suggest something completely unrelated to any idea Glisterspeck had in mind when he created it.

Tis one of the beauties of the arts, that they're experience differently by each individual. :)

I was surprised to see Glisterspeck's picture. Cool design. I've got a couple of ideas, but I'll keep thinking. I don't want to jump on my first thought for a story too quickly. Like I did with this month's 75 Challenge.

Aww, we're going to miss you here. Perhaps you could just think about it for a while, you've got plenty of time. Just put it on the shelf, then take it out when you want, and throw it around the room for a while. Slam it into the wall and see what sticks, and what drips down the wall onto the floor.

I caught the germ of an idea. But quickly recovered and am still standing with nothing atm. But I've resolved to readdict myself to this end of the forum. So I'll see if i dont contract something over the weekend :)
 
I like the picture too and have no doubt the no entry will be even close to the next, the picture can be anything. Before anyone asks, the lightening did make me think of RAY GUNS, but that would be too easy, or so I think. Now to go away and think, plan and ponder.
 
Darn it, Glister. I have a society, a sub-culture, some mythological elements and a sci-fantasy blend. I need 100k words and I have no time!!! Memo for future, no exciting imagery to fire me up. 'Tis dangerous. :D
 
You've had another four hours, Bowler, so it's about time you posted your entry. :)


And yes, the thread is now open for entries. :)
