isn't death sort of luiglin's thing? he's been awfully quiet lately...
what about moonbat and mouse and lenny?
fitzchiv and k'ree and joan drake?
hoopy and roninjedi84 and betawolf and anya?
myth and monsterchic and paranoid marvin and reiver 33? mirranon, tinkerdan?
choccoweeble, nixie, hilarious joke, crystal haven, and i voyager?
alex the g and t?
lauren$77 jriff and sinester 42?
and fitzchivalry?
we only need a couple of them...

Out of that list I imagine that mosaix at least will write us a story, since he chose the theme.

As for the rest, we must have some muscle around here who'd oblige by leaning on them a little. Someone very large and hulking who cracks his knuckles and makes oblique references to broken limbs and visits to the East River?

I'll be there, Teresa. Just putting some final touches to the thing. Could take a few days, mind.

Thanks for the vote of confidence, Jastius.

My participation in this challenge has been spotty, at best.

Indeed, however, I have a good sketch on my hard-drive here. I've been Insanely otherwise occupied for the last 10 days; but I have every intention to beat this thing into submission before the deadline.

The punchline is rock solid. Getting to it in circa 67 words may be a bit of a rub.

Well, so long as somebody else pays for the travel, I've got a shirt with a skull and crossbones and the phrase "The beatings will continue until morale improves" on it, and probably enough bulk to pull it off, though I am susceptible to bribes. Especially good meat. Or cookies.

Oh, and thanks to Starbeast for the lovely review! :)

You're welcome TheDustyZebra. No one is ever too late to say thank you, in my book.

Thanks Victoria for the review.

Could it be I wrote a fable?!
I didn't know that I was able
My mind goes blank
My story just shrank
I'll just smile and accept the label.

High marks for your poetic reply Parson. Nicely done.

Starbeast and Victoria Silverwolf - thank you for your lovely reviews! X

You're welcome Tisiphone. Nice to have you with us again.

Death/Fantasy

(part four)

Jastius - I must say, you've created a nice little gem of a story, once again. And it delighted us at the end with a nice reveal to whom you've highlighted in your well constructed tale. Good stuff.

Three pages are completely full of spectacular entries which will be tough to choose from once again. All written with great originality and imagination, everything from the pleasent to the nightmarish, from heavy drama, to light hearted fun.

Eight days to go, and I can't wait to see more. :)

Wonderful story, crystal haven, beautifully written...so haunting. I love it!

Thank you so much for the kind words, Cat's Cradle.

And thank you too, for the lovely review, Victoria.

(does happy dance) starbeast you made my weekend with your stupendous review.. thankyou so very very much :)

Alex, the G and T -- This playful character study offers a witty look at modern culture.

Brev -- The author offers us a grim, vivid, and darkly ironic tale of crime and punishment.

It's a 50 month this month. All the last minute posters have yet to make a showing and with only three to go, it will be a busy month. If Death couldn't manage it, then what could, eh?
