Bowler: "Means"... "Motive" ... "Opportunity" ... Need I say more? ;-)

Encounters/Fantasy Steampunk

Victoria Silverwolf - You've posted first and started us off with a very cool treat that is an extension to a classic tale. I enjoyed how pleasent this story is, and you've given us a clever surprise ending.

BenSt - Whoa-hoe! A diabolical female serial killer stalking victims at train station. Truely an excellent and frightening story that crept up like a spider on me, and delivered a savagely malevolent bite.

David Evil Overlord - Awesome offering and dark humored perfection takes me by surprise by giving tribute to a cult classic, antihero named "Dirty" Harry Callahan. A very high caliber tale.

Springs - Superb mix of science and sorcery. And showscased in this wonderful story is the love of a child for their father, which brings forth heatwarming drama in an intense sequence of events.

Remedy - Professor Fogwerk is a great and happiness-givng man, who shares his marvelous mechanical creations. And yet, he creates an artificial son, which makes him happy. Bitter/sweet excellence.

Juliana - Aliens, yes! Werewolvess from outer space. I love it. The bestial beings come to Earth looking for blood, as they begin an interplanetary war. Plus, you dazzle the readers with a comical ending. Good stuff.

Karn Maeshalanadae - Super cool intense story about a gunslinger who hunts for a murderous elven mage, that happens to be his sister. A bit sad, but a very tremendous wild western with steam powered horses.

Farntfar - An extension of the Lord of the rings, I love it. Terrific tale times two, involving a couple of JRR Tolkien characters. This is definately a blissful surprise for me, because I've been a longtime of the novel series.

Telford - Whoa! You pull no punches in your fierce and gritty, gun for hire story. I felt great reading this one, like I was staying up late and watching shoot-em-up, "R" rated, crime drama. Good stuff.

BigJ - Stand back everybody, don't ever get between the Dwarves and Elves when they're settling the business of blood between each other. You've captured that essence in bottle of fine awesomeness.

TitaniumTi - You have brought a whole new level to Peter Rabbit, with glimming stainless steel chompers. And he means what he says, by saying mean. Yikes. A very unexpected tale from the darkside indeed. Astonishing.

SirSamuelVines - Firstly, nice to meet you. And second, you should be crowned King, for this mighty offering. I really enjoy a fantastic twisted tale, that has a remarkable and happy ending.

Stormcrow - Jack the Ripper, in a steampunk setting, I love it. Holey rusted metal Batman, you've dreamed up a wild and far-out story that is highlighted in a astounding coolness. I''m blown away by your steam power.

Cornelius - Firstly, nice to meet you. And second, I had fun reading your entry. It was very well written with delightful dialogue, that is accented with a humorous final line. Nicely done sir.

I suspect that when Bowler wins a challenge, the next month's challenge will be "Fun with Ray Guns" :)

Ohhhh yyeeeaaahhhhh. The month when everyone has to go down the shooting range and I can start charging admission.

Bowler: "Means"... "Motive" ... "Opportunity" ... Need I say more? ;-)

That does not make me guilty, just ask Judge.

I'm liking what I'm seeing in this months challenge. Good steady posting numbers so far too.

Thanks for the review, Beasty. I love your entry.

You're welcome Telford. And thank you for the comment.

Thanks for the review, Starbeast. :)

You're very welcome David Evil Overlord.

Encounters/Fantasy Steampunk

(part two)

Cat's Cradle - What a magnificent story you've created, it left me with a smile at it's finish. Very interesting idea of Dwarves and Humans working together in a coal mine, first enemies, then friends. Superb.

Martin321 - Ahoy shipmates! It's high adventure on the open seas with mighty ships battling one another in a unique fight. And a salty crew with heavy superstitions, toss overboard a crewman which they believe gave them bad luck. That made me chuckle.

Starbeast - At first I was inspired by the anime, Howl's Moving Castle. Plus a mention of ray guns by Bowler1, but, I watched a film favorite of mine and got to work. "Push the button Max!"

Aun Doorback - A very spicy tale you've constructed which made me think of the old quote, "Love, will make a person do strange things." Yet, gave you the tools to produce a terrific story.

Glen - Astounding idea you've come up with sir. I really enjoyed the intense dialogue which was recorded on a "black box". Fantastic and frightening at the same time. Good stuff.

Holland - I read your comment about you mentioning that you weren't sure you stayed within the concept of the theme and genre. Well, let me tell you, you did an outstanding job. Nicely done sir.

Khayos - Such a sweet little story, about a young innocent girl who wants the understanding of how all things, including insects, operate. Truely a wonderful and cute entry you've written. I loved it.

Ratsy - Very cool oceanic exploration adventure. A resercher travels deep into the mysterious unexplored regions of the sea to find out if a creature of myth is real or imaginary. Marvelous.

Mosaix - My oh my. This is a tale that I couldn't help but to smile at, with it's descriptive steamy wordage and stark imagary. Powerful stuff abounds in this arousing offering. Is it getting hot in here, or is it just me?

SirGeoffrey - Firstly, nice to meet you. And second, I was completely taken by surprise with your "Steam Reader" idea. I had a good chuckle with your delightful steamy ending. Well done sir.

AJB - Quite an eye-opening tale about our planet running like a machine, that needs to be fine turned, but, unfortunately it might be too late to repair it's problems. Far-out and solid excellence.

TacticalLoco - I really enjoyed your chosen moment in a very remembered and quoted bit from history. And you added that fine touch of cogs and gears to accent it tremendously. Good stuff.

Tywin - Wow! A steampunk soap opera that is very well written in highly intense and fiercely dramatic dialogue. I was taken back by it's originality and starkness. Mighty fine scene, like from a tv episode.

Johnnyjet - Science vs sorcery is highlighted superbly in this entry. You've created a story which made me fascinated to read. I wanted more, but, you crafted a well written item with only a few words. Top notch.

Thank you for the review Starbeast! :)

Your genre and theme seem to be going down a treat this month!

Wow, thank you Starbeast! It is a great theme/genre choice on your part, and it was a lot of fun to work on this! :)

Thank you for the review Starbeast! :)

Your genre and theme seem to be going down a treat this month!

You're welcome Remedy.

I highly agree with you, everyone is producing fantastic stories that feel like they've been taken from the mind of the late great author, Jules Verne.

Two pages of thrilling, eye-popping and surprising tales of steampunk.

Muchly thanks, Starbeast. :)

You're very welcome Springs.

You're welcome, Cat's Cradle.

Looks like you've slipped in a few seconds before I did.

I had high hopes everyone would dream up some cool stories, and I was right. There are a ton of great authors here! :)

Thanks for the great review StarBeast.

And an fun genre to write in, which I had never really looked at before.

Thanks for the kind words, Starbeast!

Btw, so many great stories so far, I can already see voting is gonna be soooo difficult for me :)

Wow, Juliana, that is a terrific statement! Just a wonderful sentiment. I agree! :)
