and while I'm here, I'd like to thank Ratsy for jumping in and answering Jon's questions. I'm glad to have new comers join us as it makes the guessing more fun (well I wont get to guess this round, but it will still be fun)

I will take the extra month too. I have a few other things on the go now...(3 short stories and working on a 'something bigger') also have to do the 300 word which I've put no thought into yet.

So we will be taking on more peeps if they want by the end of July? Do I still keep the story request you sent me?

yes, keep the assignment I sent if your taking the extra month. I'll make it work if we only get one more come on. ;) cant tell you how though.

Got mine, five hundred or so words into it. But still not finished the one for ratsy for the last try; I will get it done…
 
Oh my, this is terrifying because--seriously--I am the rankest of amateurs but I would like to enter, I fear. :) I cannot promise my own assignment-story will be anything except my best effort.

Now for my own request (ah, I feel like Aladdin rubbing the magic lamp!):

I WOULD LIKE A STORY INVOLVING A WHOLLY-ORIGINAL SUPERHERO FIGHTING HIS ARCH-NEMESIS TO THE DEATH (or at least to a decisive conclusion:))!!

(If that is a request that does not fit in with the spirit of the SS world, please let me know and I will come up with another idea.)

I really enjoyed my assignment this time. I don't see a market it for it, either - it's probably not sff enough - so I'll be able to put it up at the end this time. :) yay! I might stick it on my website, too - I'm throwing up stuff like this as freebies at the moment.

I thought August was the writing month? Never mind, travelling and LonCon is going to eat into it, I'm happy to have got a few thousand words ahead. And preparations for several other requests, too; I'm not going to be caught again like last time. (Obviously if there's one you've not got an entry for it'll be one I haven't prepared, but hey ho. One does what one can).

Then the first half of September is bullying the people who are late, and asking the remainder to do supplementary stories to fill in for missing ones? Or have I misunderstood the lessons of my first attempt?
 
If those white cows you mention are Lindt ones, Chrispy, then I'd gladly scoff them.

My story is coalescing somewhat. It's always either an instant zap, or a long process for me. This one seems to be long. One half of my stim is great, the other half is causing me much wailing.

But, that's what they're called challenges, isn't it (conveniently avoiding the simple fact that he's ducked out of the 75 worder for the past 2 months)?
