Discussion Thread -- September 2014 75-word Writing Challenge

pops an anthropomorphic orange head up over the wall, or is it down...

hi everyone. after moving back to the other side of the world and setting up downunder, I finally have some time to get back to writing... seeing as my laptop is currently in a box in the middle of the ocean somewhere (didn't think that one through), i'll start with the challenges. already have an idea for this one so just need to get it down.

as always, great entries so far...

Since there are only 21 entries in Ratsy's 100 word challenge over in the ol' workshop, I'm going to assume that everyone is waiting until the last day to do an entry?? Hence confusing their own stories in with the batch of perpetual last minute entries that we have come to know and love!

Oh and did I mention that Springs is the only one who knows who has entered? Think on that as she grabs her whip and comes looking for you!!

Meanwhile, I will try to read the stories and see if I've even written one for that either...:coffee: *sip*

I would have entered if it had been Ratsy's 250-word challenge. Now my story will languish unread ... unless the pic for the 300-word challenge happens to be a chestnut tree.

That's going to be a tough edit but I believe in you!

Hello Again Chons,
I'm back at school (teaching) and hopefully have more time to write. Seems I always get side-tracked during the summer months.
Anyway my not so subtle entry is in and it feels good to be posting again.
Cheers!

Goodness, Parson, that's rather dark!
Nice entry, though...

Poll is up over in the workshop for Ratsy's challenge, come over, everyone, and see if you can guess the authors! (I tried. It was hard.)

TacticalLoco -- The author provides the reader with a powerful reminder that we must reap what we sow.

Parson -- This highly imaginative and original blending of genres can also be read as a gripping fable of good and evil.

I'd like to apologise to everyone, especially my characters: Guy's you deserve better, but I've been working 6:30 am to 7:00 pm for the last three weeks, plus an hour commute either side, and I really ought to pay some attention to my daughter and fiancée this weekend as well...
