Would you like a list of those who've not yet voted, or do you think they've already guessed?

First of all thank you to Alchemist, StilLearning, Juliana, Farntfar, Cat’s Cradle and Kerrybunchanan for voting for my story, I'm absolutely thrilled that you chose to cast your votes my way- especially considering the insanely high calibre of all of the stories!!

Thank you as well to Springs, Mr Orange, Mosaix, Chrispenygate and Teresa Edgerton for your long/shortlist mentions!

Since I've finally found time to sit down and read all of the wonderful stories, here's my (in just in time) shortlist and votes:

Short list

Springs- for a beautiful clockwork tale!

Ratsy- for a really dramatic final line

David Evil Overlord- for a facepalmingly good pun

Votes

Remedy- For a beautifully written story

Perpetual Man- your story was just incredibly emotive!

Mr Orange- for a really unusual and clever take!

Goodness, are you all trying to give me heart failure? I wake up to find I have 12 votes... Eeep!!
Exciting!

Thank you HB, Perp, Cul and Remedy for the votes, and TDZ for the mention. :)

My shortlist is rather long this quarter, and unusually for me the tales I've picked include a couple of comic ones, as they tickled my funny bone. I've also again listed some stories for their use of language and imagery perhaps more than for the stories themselves, and I have to confess I didn't fully understand some of those and some of the others which I've listed, but in those cases I was swept up by the tale, which to me is as important.

chrispenycate -- They Also Serve
Culhwch -- The Girl, the Knight, and the Dragon
Darkchrome -- Align Between Good and Evil
DEO -- For One Knight Only
JoanDrake -- Nobility
mosaix -- Moving Picture
Mr Orange -- Futility of the Innocent...
Perpetual Man -- Seasons of Joy, Season of Wither
Phyrebrat -- Graffiti Bridge
StilLearning -- Savagery
telford -- Journeyman
Teresa -- (collected 1762...
Ursa major -- Journey by Night
Victoria -- Visions

After a good deal of turmoil, and changing my mind and changing it back again, and vice versa, my votes went to three very different stories, from, respectively, Teresa, mosaix and StilLearning.

As ever I've not looked in at the voting before now, so belated dreamy thanks for the shortlistings/mentions Cat's Cradle, mosaix and Phyrebrat (apologies if I've missed anyone), and specially-crafted DreamImagineers™ thanks for the votes, ratsy, HB, TDZ, Starbeast, telford, johnnyjet, DEO, StilLearning, martin321, AFW, and holland -- all very much appreciated!

My votes:

Talysia - The War-mouse - I liked the reverse at the end a lot.
Juliana - A Fairy Tale - I thought this was really clever, and nicely meta.
Culhwch - The Girl, The Knight, and the Dragon - Also pleasingly meta-textual, with a great reverse at the end.

Oh, and thanks CC for the vote!
