Thanks, Victoria and Cat's Cradle! 300 words, positively oodles for messing around with the timeline... surely... ;)

on the verge of posting my story, but think i'll let it ruminate for a couple of days and see if it wants me to make any changes.

i feel like i should use the last 9 words i have up my sleeve too...

The word-counting pixie likes it when people have several words left over, as it means he doesn't have to agonise over every hyphenation.

But you shouldn't let this information sway you, because, to be honest, the word-count pixie is a lazy ass and it wouldn't harm him to do some work for a change.

The disgruntled moderator hiked through the forest, adjusting his pixie costume which was riding up in the back as usual. "Now look here," he told the perplexed knight. "This won't do at all. This whole debacle is three words over. I'm afraid you'll have to go!"

You're welcome.

Pixies are always looking for an excuse to cause mayhem anyway. :D

ratsy -- Through the combination of bizarre details and a realistic style, the author creates an unnerving mood.

Glen -- By hinting at strange things in an indirect way, this tense and sharply written tales holds the reader fascinated.

A. Fare Wells -- The author shows us the power of imagination by contrasting the ordinary with the extraordinary.

johnnyjet -- A new kind of magic dazzles the reader in this highly original and imaginative fantasy.

Well, that was unexpected. But I hope it entertains.

Thank you, Victoria.
