Discussion Thread - 100 Word Anon Writing Challenge - Nov 2014

Yowza, guessing in an anonymous challenge is hard! Before my guesses I will mention that my vote went to "Last Chance to Read"; I loved it. My runners-up were "Auksalak" (I Googled the title, very nice!:)), "My Pen-Ultimate Story" (another great title), and "Oh joy! Oh Raptor unforseen!" (my fave title in the challenge, I think). All the stories were terrific, well done! I really like having those extra 25 words!

Guesses..truly wild, almost random guesses (if I get two right, I'll be surprised! :))

It was difficult to choose one among all the excellent entries. I narrowed my top 3 to Stray Arrow, Another Kind, and It Was the Best of Times, It Was the Worst of Times. Finally decided on Best of Times, but it was close between all the stories.
 
Just a flying visit, as I thought it only fair to to 'fess up that I did write one of these, but probably won't be back to read/vote 'til Saturday :)
 
:) Hah! Oh, dear...and that's why I should not be allowed in these contests! I laughed out loud when I saw your note, Dusty...oy, what a nimbus-head I am!! I have no idea where my guessing went wrong...how skewed it is by my inability to count properly. Should I write a 15th story...is it too late?? *sigh*
 
No guessing from me, at least not yet, except to say that anyone who can pretend to think I could write something as good as Fay's End, is clearly trying to throw us off the scent. So CC wrote it himself.

For the vote I'm torn between Last Chance to Read and Auksalak, and I'm going for Auksalak.
 
I voted for Martha...as for guesses...I don't have it in me today and I will be away from a computer for a couple days. I look forward to seeing when Im back
 
I do like so many of these. Finally sorted into a choice between Last Chance to Read, It Was The Best of Times... (which I think I subconciously read in the voice of GLaDOS, from Portal) and The Death of Legends. Voted for the last one as I'm now stuck with the mental image of a bipedal dragon dressed like Columbo!

As for who wrote what, I couldn't begin to guess. I still have enough trouble seeing style patterns when the authors actually post their own stories :)

Interestingly, as I am (from last time) the easiest one to recognise and I'm not on any of the lists, so I must not have written anything this time. Which is odd, as I normally come up with something, no matter how mediocre. Still, vox populi, vox dei.
 
Wow, am I glad you said that! I had thought the voting went through tomorrow. Got here with five minutes to spare! I doubt I'll have time to craft a collection of guesses before the great reveal, though. I have to go make dinner. :)

My top choices to dither over were Auksalak, It Was the Best of Times..., and Death of Legends, and I voted for *Death of Legends*.

Interesting -- this confirms something for me, anyway. Mosaix is almost always on my shortlists, and I've noticed that DarkChrome is rapidly becoming one of my favorites as well. And there they both are!
