DISCUSSION -- January 2015 300-word Writing Challenge (#16)

It's taken me a while but I've been through all the stories at last. And what can I say what a mass of wonder they were.

Everyone should get a mention because, damn it, they were all so damn good.

(The following is a public service announcement on behalf of the Workshop's 100 Word Anonymous Challenge...)

We have openings! In these tough economic times, international statistics show that over 50% of short stories are currently unable to find gainful employment (up from 20% before the Great Collapse of 2004). Some of these tales never find homes, and end up detailing life on the streets, or drug use or random acts of senseless senselessness. We at the Workshop are looking to help unemployed stories. The 100 Word Challenge currently has openings for a minimum of 25-35 tales. Won’t you help and give a story its place in this world?? (The Challenge is open for entries until 20 Feb 2015 13:00 [GMT].)

Alright, I think I've finally got it! (My goodness that was hard!!) I enjoyed all these stories, and wish I could include them all in my list! Still, I had to cut it down a bit, so here’s what I've got.

Long List:

-Starbeast: Blue Eyes and New Eyes- Excellent use of a different story for this! I love the idea that instead of using the wish to turn back to his normal form, he immediately thinks of the one he loves and puts her first.

Great job everyone! I'm looking forward to seeing who wins. :)

Thank you for the listing, and wonderful review, Storyteller. You made my day. :ROFLMAO: Wheeeeeeee!

It is so upsetting to have to choose.
So many of these stories have delighted me in so many different ways, that not including them all in my list seems a terrible injustice.
But such is the challenge.

Starbeast Blue eyes and New eyes

Thank you Farntfar for the listing. You made my day. :ROFLMAO: Wheeeeeeee! And I highly agree with you and Storyteller, choosing is tough.
