DISCUSSION -- January 2016 300-word Writing Challenge (#20)

In my enthusiasm for finishing my story - I accidentally posted it twice  (cue mods - sorry!)
It's not a tactic to win more votes, honest :cautious:

Anyway, it's been such a hectic month for me, I'm really glad I have managed to write something resembling a story. And with days to spare too. Yay.

:) I'm sure they won't count the second posting toward your word count, HazelRah! (I think having your story listed twice in a voting poll would be more likely to split your vote, anyway.:))
Enthusiasm...the 300 worder certainly engenders that! Looking forward to reading your story, CC

ps--thanks for the nice review, Starbeast!

ratsy -- The dreamlike mood of this strange tale is sure to captivate the reader.

Alex Darion -- The author creates a dark and melancholy myth.

Mr Orange -- This vision of madness also offers a subtle tribute to a great artist.

pambaddeley -- The precise use of language creates a vivid and convincing viewpoint character in this unusual story.

LittleStar -- By featuring an exotic culture, this tale takes us into a world few of us know.

revier33 -- This surreal allegory takes the reader on an unforgettable journey.

Idealect -- Through the use of an interior monologue we travel into the mind of the protagonist.

willwallace -- This apocalyptic vision carries an added sting in its tail.

johnnyjet -- By making use of an unexpected point of view the reader learns to empathize with something very different.

Venusian Broon -- The author generously provides a wide variety of fantastic concepts in this complex tale.

Robert Mackay -- Through the use of a quiet, subtle, realistic style, this story's strangeness becomes very real.

HazelRah -- Fully realized characters provide strong emotional appeal in this very sad story.

mosaix -- By describing sensations with which most of us can relate, the author creates an unusual character who seems as real as ourselves.
