The beginning of a novel. Need your opinion!

The problem with prologues is it tells the reader that they need to know something before the story starts. In sff the fact the world is not the one the reader is used to is already expected by definition. The type of weirdness of your world can be covered easily in first chapter with a simple odd observation of the protaganist.

I am anti prologue by the way
