Discussion Thread -- March 2016 75-word Writing Challenge

@Bowler1 I'm frequently in my entries, (anything I write first with anthropomorphic characters) and I recall @Tim James doing a stunning entry where he proved he nether entered nor did his customary comments. :) I want to think @Jo Zebedee did one with her in as well...

Not that I recall (although it's possible...)

I fear I'm out this month - out of time, ideas and clones. I'll read along. :)

Hmmm.... Just Hopewrites then! So, let me see if I get this right. If I shoot Hopewrites, like dead, or zombiefied, or undeaded, then only I remain as Jo has admitted to a normal ego. Just stay where you are mate, while I get my RAY GUNS.

I shot more holes in Tim that I've lost count and he is still around. He could be dead, but he is still up and walking about for sure.

My ego is half hydra, if you shoot it, it just grows back... immune to what it's been shot with.

Don't worry though, its megalomaniacal laugh is only at diabolical giggle levels. Hardly worth hunting across the muiltiverse.

OK, these are my summaries of the stories for this month's challenge. I don't think I misspelled anyone's name, but if I did, I do apologize.

Ashleyne. B. Watts-The power of imagination may have become a little too real.
Cathbad-Weaved a tale of desperation
Ajid-A science mission gone wrong
Victoria Silverwolf-A story about Earth told on another planet.
Vaz-A mysterious story about someone locked in a cell about to hatch an egg
J5V-Life on the molecular level
Droflet-A humorous familiar tale.
Shyrka-A tale about new life perhaps
Pentagon-Thoughts about the end of life
Robert Mackay-A new story about space sirens
Starbeast-A humorous round about discussion
Tim Murray-A new creature shows a traveler their world
Uruss-A space tale about the end of a civilization
Bowler1-The problem with having too many of oneself
chrispenycate-An interesting poem about another life
Cascade-A tale written in the old style.
Sigfrid von Shrink-A familiar argument even among different species.
willwallace-Even an object can turn into a difficult child.
Alex Darion-No doubt what that entity feasted on.
johnnyjet-Even the planets need a little fun every now and then.

Sigfrid von Shrink – An aeons-long cosmic ballet comes to an end when the attraction between two suns can no longer hold them together.

Willwallace – A sentient vessel clings to its precious cargo, suspicious of the attractions of the world outside.

Alex Darion – The promise of an all-too-perfect world lures a colony ship to an unexpected end.

Calliopenjo – The crew of an exploration vessel question the veracity of an impossible-sounding tale.

Johnnyjet – God may not play dice but he clearly plays pool, much to the dismay of this intrepid crew.

Crikey, reviewers abound this month. Well done to the reviewers and the storytellers, some good ones of both.

I am struggling this month. I have something written but a salmon on a typewriter could have done better.

Sort of like the ever lasting gobstopper, but with RAY GUNS and giggling - temping, so very temping, but the giggling needs thinking about.

Didn't think I was going to come up with anything this time but finally managed it ....

johnnyjet -- This tense and exciting space adventure features a unique vision of its conclusion.

Serge Alexandr -- The author supplies a colorful word picture that is strange, poetic, and menacing.

Culhwch -- A new science fiction concept provides the starting point for what promises to be an action-packed epic.

pambaddeley -- This open-ended tale of cosmic conflict is sure to intrigue the reader.

I'm really happy so many people enjoyed the genre/theme choices! Apologies for my taking so long to jump on this thread. It's wonderful to see so many reviewers, and we have some terrific stories so far! (And Ashleyne, that may be my favorite first line in a challenge ever!:)). I'll have something posted soon...looking forward to the rest of the stories, CC

There's an awful lot of entries! What will we all do between the end of this challenge and the start of April's!

Hello Pentagon! :) You are in luck! If you look over in the Writing Forums' Workshop section, you'll see that an informal challenge is beginning on March 9th...the 100 Word Anonymous Challenge. Please take a look back over a few challenges there and see if that one might appeal to you.
AND...there are two official challenges for April...the monthly 75 Worder, that you've participated in, plus the quarterly 300 Word Writing Challenge, also in the Writing Challenge sub-forum. So get writing (or at least consider writing, over at the 100 worder)! :) CC

It's my first month involved and I think shortlisting is going to be very hard.
