I had moules frites on Friday for my wife's birthday - and the philistines served it with chunky chips! Annoyed? I almost spat my Kraken out.

What yobbery! I can't believe you had chunky chips. I'd have thrown a box of glass in the owner's bed for that! (part of me wonders if you deserved it though for being a rum-braggart :D )

When does the Poll thread go up! Got an awful lot of entries to re-read!

Best
Pentagon
An awful lot? There are only forty submissions; we've never had fewer than forty-two.
Mind, I've confidence we're going to make it - plenty of time left yet, and several of our 'old faithfuls' are known brinkmasters. But with six newcomers, and days to go, although we might not be looking at an absolute record, thirteen regulars (even if one or two have suggested they will not be participating due to lack of time or not meshing with the subject, but we know how to persuade, cajole and bully those, don't we?), Easter approaching and Ray Guns, I am certain we'll arrive in the norm…

No worries, Pentagon! Trust me, there are seasoned pros who have forgotten when the voting runs, and missed out entirely (I'm not thinking of anyone in particular:)). Voting begins on the 24th of each month, and runs till midnight on the 28th...so you've plenty of time to read through the stories, and five days to cast your vote! (We'll have entries posted right up to the last minute on the 23rd too, so stayed tuned!)
And in my first challenge I thought 40 was a lot of stories too, but then we eventually had, I think, 60 entries, which was amazing! Don't know if we'll get there this month. :) CC
