Discussion thread -- June 2016 75-word Writing Challenge

(These are the code words that turn Bucky, the Winter Soldier, into a killing machine. Anyway. Never mind.) :)

Okay, I did see the Winter Soldier (one of my normal 3 movies including videos a year) but I didn't make the connection.

@The Judge --- that's about the most cracked fairy tale I've ever seen.

I actually didn't see Winter Soldier either, but I saw Civil War cause I'm a Spidey fan and I was excited for the new kid. He didn't disappoint. :)

The Judge -- This cutting, satiric look at the cutthroat world of big business seems torn from today's headlines.

TheDustyJudge -- Through the use of a unique structure the author creates a droll and subtle parable of disappearing resources.

I really wasn't going to participate, and I've been getting that feeling the past few months. I don't think I will be keeping my streak alive forever, but I did manage to put some effort in and post a story. And on the last day...after Dusty!

I've been in a similar frame of mind but didn't want to give in to the challenge of challenging myself to write outside of my preferred genre, but what I've found is if I just sit back and let the theme and genre percolate in my subconscious something normally pops up. It's the only way I've been able to do the last three!

For me it just seems like I don't want to stretch my brain too far. I'm trying to work through my novel to make it better, working on finishing Kraxon stories, and reading and working on Explorations. While trying to do Lake Manor promo. I want to utilise my time well, and the challenges may not be the best use of it. But I did it, and really do enjoy taking part.

I just foresee me stepping back from them sooner than later for a while.

I don't know how @Jo Zebedee does it! haha

Hmm... something is not right here. If only I could figure out what...

He's the judge, he's the dusty judge
He rides the range and wrangles the law
On a horse named Justice with a sword of truth
He's the judge, he's the dusty judge

I'll be here all waitress. Try the night. Tip your steak.

This challenge brought forth a multiplicity of different stories. It was very hard to judge!

Voted for:

@Mr Orange because for me it is the most memorable of the stories this month.

Okay, here we go again. My usual blah blah.
Honorables:
K Song,
Luiglin
Beasty
Ihe
Bowler
Wruther
Perp
J5V
Hazel Rah
Her Honor.
In the end I had to go for a story that was, imho, totally original, verging on genius. Congrats Dusty. (Sorry about this. My vote pretty much puts the Drof curse on you. You should, imho, win, but now that I've voted for you that probably won't happen. Sorry again.)
