Discussion thread -- June 2016 75-word Writing Challenge

Shyrka there is really nothing wrong in missing a month. We all know that life gets in the way, and it can be a lot more important than the reviews. It certainly does me on occasion.

I have never been put on the rack for this, although I have felt wracked by guilt for not doing it!

I have indeed be shot (at) and more than once, but I don't think it was Bowler as he missed.

Cathbad you keep that rack for a time of need, it is a masterpiece!

No one has ever been put on the rack for taking a month off reviews.

I think perp might have been shot once, but I think bowler missed that one time anyway... ;)

ZZZZZZZAAAAAAPPPP

I never miss, not even moving targets.

I have indeed be shot (at) and more than once, but I don't think it was Bowler as he missed!

See, living proof of my good aim....

Well, I'm in. This was one that took a little research for me, hopefully it will be clear to the readers.

A belated thank you for the wonderful reviews by Victoria, Calliopenjo and Perpetual Man (or his alter ego?). Thanks!

A wide variety of topics for this challenge. It's going to be another tough one to vote for.

Thanks Victoria. I really appreciate your work on this.

Eric Zeigler-With a few ingredients, a warlock creates an army to do his bidding.

Parson-A tale that uses Japanese Gods to save their existence.

HazelRah-A rabbit gives God some assistance.

Phyrebrat-Daughter takes over the father’s business of making swords.

It is a challenge after all, Sinister. :)

And what a challenge!

I've struggled with this ever since I first saw it. We went over to visit my daughter this afternoon, she said two words and that gave me just the inkling of an idea. We came back, I sat down and started to write. It came in at exactly 75 words! Half an hour later, a bit of editing and it's up! :)

Dropping the elf and dwarf for a moment, they are busy preparing the next round of comments. Well trying to, they were busy going at each other with hot pokers last I noticed...

This is not quite the place for this but as there is no 300 word running at the moment I thought it might be interesting:

Perp Jr (Harry, 7) presented us with this weeks homework. It's a rather spectacular fantasy style picture of a floating island, and he has to write a few words as to what it inspires in him. Then he has to write a few verbs that he thinks will make it more dramatic (We got a poem from him this morning telling us what verbs are), with the aim of being able to write a short story based on it for the following week.

Sounds like fun and familiar.
