I haven't written little pieces in about a year but I use them for culture days etc and I'm running out of ones people haven't heard of before

Alright I think we all can agree we need to end the challenge early... I mean I love reading all these great stories (AnaKimlin, Vaz, Bowler1, HoopyFrood, must we continue with the list?) But the chances of getting a short list let alone a vote is getting slimmer and slimmer. With that said I propose that we remove all entries that do not involve conniving gargoyles from contention. All who agree say aye, all who disagree... We don't want to hear it. I thank you all for your support with the new regulations, that I am sure will be voted for, for this particular challenge.

I've been failing all month to come up with anything and finally had a decent, non-ultra-bleak idea in the shower this morning. Just wrote it up, all giddy with excitement, only to realise it doesn't feature this month's theme at all. Aaargh.

I finally managed to come up with something suitably festive and post, only to find that one story already makes reference to Jack Frost, and another almost has the exact same title! So apologies @reiver33 and @LittleStar, but honestly I weren't nickin' nuffink guv'nor, I just didn't read the other stories before posting. Happily they're all sufficiently different that nobody will notice. Probably.

I was honestly stumped by this month's challenge. I had given up and made up my mind I wouldn't post a story for this.
Today I came up with my entry in 5 minutes, and I think it's sublime. Oh lady Muse, ta.
