Star Wars VIII: The Last Jedi

Like Anakin, I suspect that if "Ben Solo" returns to the Light, it will be upon or just before his death.
Be interesting to see if there is a Solo Sister, as Ben/Kylo is clearly based on Jacen Solo of the EU, and maybe a bit of Ben Skywalker, Luke and Mara's son.

It will be interesting to see what sent Ben/Kylo spinning off into the Dark Side.
We have not actually seen anything to suggest that He, or Snoake are Sith, neither has "Darth" appended to their name for example.
Maybe there's some more borrowing from the EU Novels, as they explored the Force, and the different types of User. Someone using "Dark Side" Powers is not automatically a Sith, a Sith is backed by a culture and tradition.
The Dathomir Witches were not Jedi, nor were they Sith but they had access to the Force and used it.

The Yuuzhan Vong who invaded the New Republic, causing it to collapse, and the Galactic Alliance to form were totally immune to Jedi Powers. It turned out that the Force, or a part of it evicted them from both the Force and their Home World because they had become so brutal and vile.

I think they may be relevant, as to my eyes at least there is a possibility that Supreme Leader Snoake is a Yuuzhan Vong.
Vong are covered in scars and are self mutilated, they are into pain etc
In the bottom photograph it looks like Snoake is heavily mutilated, covered in Scars etc just like a Vong

Disney confirmed a few years ago they had no intention to keep the Yuuzhan Vong. I suspect they may be a step too far for them. Therefore I think it’s unlikely they’ll turn out to be Snoke.

No Pallaeon or Daala in Rebels. The series arc seems to be more about the Mandalorians (yawn). The Nightsisters of Dathomir run throughout The Clone Wars series and are awesome. Mother Talzin is phenomenal (she’s one of Maul’s concept art ideas).

I don’t see how Daala would be relevant now that Rogue 1 has ridden over that whole story.

I badly embarrassed in front of friends over the end of Rogue 1!!
In fairness, we were watching it for the first time at 4am after an evening/night out in a local Tavern.:oops::oops:
It's the very end, dude Hands Leia the Death Star Data, and the Tantive IV cranks up its hyperdrive and blasts off into Hyperspace, making a break for freedom, hotly pursued by the Devastator, Vader's shiny new Imperial Class Star Destroyer, both vessels heading at full speed for their Destiny, and the opening credits of a New Hope.

I turn. "WTF are the Bothans?" Did you see any Bothan Spies? OMG they forgot the Bothans!!!!
A Mate "How do you know we haven't seen any Bothans, the guy bringing the data might have been a Bothan, half of Rogue One might have been Bothans, I mean you can't tell who was Correllian for example"
Another Mate "Bothans aren't Humans you prat, they are furry mammalian anthropoids, Flip's right, we didn't see any"
3rd Mate *coughs* "Erm, chaps.... the Bothan Spies stole the plans for the SECOND Death Star, you know, as in Jedi"
Me *looks ashamed* "I am not drinking Tequila ever again"
:D

A loooot of people made the Bothan mistake. Mostly I think because its a scene that sticks in peoples minds.

There wasn't a lot of background to the plans during A New Hope and mostly people assumed they were just smuggled out rather innocently; whilst the Bothans had a harder, more brutal time getting hold of the plans for the second Death Star.

So its not unreasonable that everyone sort of mixed up the more action filled plan acquisition with the Bothan line.

New TV spot aired and its got a few new scenes:

Really like the feel of this movie. Also, if you want to read a good book before the movie, Leia: Princess of Alderaan was excellent.

Much like Daniel Craig's famously clandestine cameo in 2015's The Force Awakens (opposite Daisy Ridley's Rey as she fools him with her Jedi mind-trickery), the four were rumored to be squeezing themselves into Stormtrooper outfits.

Sources now tell The Hollywood Reporter that not only will the two royals, plus Hardy and Barlow, appear in The Last Jedi and as Stormtroopers, but they all appear together in the same scene. THR understands that the four will be seen guarding Boyega's character, Finn, in an elevator, surely making it Star Wars' most secretly star-studded sequence of all time.

During a taping of THR's Actor Roundtable, Boyega confirmed the reports and joked that sharing a scene with the royals and Hardy "wrapped in Stormtroopers costumes" made for a "strange contrast of a weird family." He added: "It's the best of both worlds for me."

Although appearing alongside the world's most famous brothers might seem like a nerve-racking moment, Boyega said it was more "fun" than intimidating. "It was a great experience," continued Boyega, who then gushed about the significance of his Star Wars résumé.

"You're a child. There's a new planet every day and a new scene to play," he says. "It makes you feel like you're a part of history in a sense."

Well, I will say - the trailers and TV spots (which add a small amount of extra footage) are doing a good job of hiding the actual plot/story from us. I sincerely hope that Luke is right when he tells us "This is not going to go the way you think!".

Brian, I've heard a terrifying rumour. Snoke is...

Jar Jar Binks.

SilentRoamer, I've seen some of the theory around that. It does provide an actual reason for Jar Jar's existence. Otherwise, it's comic relief which is tedious and adds nothing to The Phantom Menace, and the significant (but could be outsourced to another) act later in that trilogy.

It would be trolling on a *drum roll please* Galactic scale!

"But Jar Jar can't be a Sith Lord", I can hear the cries of anguish now. Jar Jar leads to stupid and stupid leads to trolling and trolling takes you to the dark side!

"Nooooooooooooooooo!"

The theory - whilst probably being completely bonkers does make some interesting wider points, namely how the actions and interactions of a character can be hidden behind a comical facade. I mean when you read the article they don't make anything up, Jar Jar genuinely does perform physical feats we would only attribute to leading powers and they are brushed off because Jar Jar.

The only way to deal with Gungans, nuke from orbit, just to be sure.

SilentRoamer, I think you mean "Nooooooooooooo-sa!"

I agree on fools. But that has to be done properly, as in I, Claudius.

I'm starting to warm up to these creatures. Especially, after I saw Chewbacca shoving one off from the Millenium Falcon console.
