Only mildly serious. I felt a strong need to rebel against the cat thing that, playfully or not, seems to have become a requirement this month. I'm more of a dog person.

To be honest I saw it more as a gentle ribbing than any requirement. Sort of like taking the mickey. I certainly didn't read or judge it as a requirement
