Discussion thread -- June 2017 75-word Writing Challenge

Really enjoyed the stories this month...such diverse interpretations of the theme! Great choices, TDZ.

Too many good stories to list them all, but here are my absolute faves (by author):

Honorable mentions:
Victoria, Robert Mackay, chrispenycate, Teresa, DEO, Parson, mosaix, TJ

Fourth and fifth votes woulda been:
Hugh, TDZ

Votes to:
Cory Swanson, Heijan Xavier, Moonbat.

I know which one would have gotten the single vote from me, but that's a secret. :) 'Twas a fun month! CC

My 'short' list I trimmed down to:- dannymcg, HazelRah, HoopyFrood, Hugh, Joshua Jones, Luiglin and Parson. and I then went on to vote for only one of them - HazelRah as it happens being in alphabetical order, failing to use the extra capacity. Zounds!

Chrispy! Shame, shame!

Thanks for the Mentions Cat's Cradle and Chrispy! Much appreciated.

As always a strong field

Victoria Silverwolf set the bar with Better Late than Never. Not quite a winner for me because although late, I suppose Murphy was beaten in the end. Great story though :)

Cathbad. As a cat owner this one resonates...cat hair in almost dry paint comes to mind (on more than one occasion).

Robert Mackay. Worrying so much about an actual Murphy, the protagonists fail to realise that the law remains, even if Murphy doesn’t. Nice twist that they bring about their own end :)

Tywin. A good twist with bureaucracy coming back to bite.

Teresa Edgerton. Murphy with a devastating knife to the heart. I am not sure about the protagonists morals but I can feel the pain he is about to receive.

Piper. When you double check everything to make sure Murphy can't bite you...

mosaix. Murphy wielding karma. Great mix.

I liked plenty of the others but the above were my personal favourites.

Can't believe I didn't manage to write 75 words in a whole month... for shame. But at least I can vote! (I don't really understand what happened with the cats btw...)

I voted for @David Evil Overlord (also winner of the Stable award for Most Funniest), @Shyrka (Best Science Joke) and @Victoria Silverwolf (Most Likely To Actually Happen).

Narrowly avoiding votes (possibly due to Murphy- and/or kitty-related incidents) were @The Judge @Ashleyne and @Perpetual Man .
