DISCUSSION -- January 2018 300 Word Writing Challenge (#28)

Currently, we have 28 submissions. With only a day to go that seems a little low.

Edit: With one day to go in the last 300 we had 30 submissions. So we're not too far adrift.

The Princess and the Feather, @Shyrka - This Princess doesn't seem much different from any other woman: She got what she wanted, and still flew the coop!

(Don't hit me, I'm just telling it like I see it!)
;)

Shyrka -- The classic structure of a fairy tale is used here to tell a highly original story. In addition to its imaginative content, this creative offering can be read as an allegory for the healing of a wounded soul.

You've got until midnight GMT, Mr O. Just under 14 hours from the time I'm typing this.

I've not even got a inkling of an idea, let alone a draft, and any hopes of falling back into my standard fairy tale mode are quashed thanks to Shyrka's lovely piece stealing my thunder, dammit. Grrr. ( ;) )

I have one but I don't think it's strong enough. I'll play with it later and see if I can get it a little better.

Haha, oh dear. If it's any consolation, part of my inspiration for writing this month's entry was how much I enjoyed your previous use of the genre!

Has bluffing spread from the 100 anon challenge into the 300? Come on TJ we all know you've had a peach of a story on the back burner since the pic was published. ;)

Jo Zebedee -- The ruthless realism of the narrator of this hard-hitting story strengthens the impact of its plot. Through an unflinching look at the way in which things don't always go our way, we learn that the good guys don't always win.

Would that I had! I love the image, but by goodness it's giving me nothing. *silent scream as panic begins to set in*

IN DESPERATE NEED OF… @Jo Zebedee - A scientist with good intentions lacks the artistic ability to reach her goals. A good illustration to show the need for cooperation. Hopefully, the next time...

The Greatest Story Ever Told Off. @Harpo - A story about stories. When all those stories are restored, will a sense of fulfillment or mayhem resonate across the multiverse? I suppose only the Teller knows for sure!
