DISCUSSION — May 2018 75-Word Writing Challenge

Virtual Bob, @s.d. Ervin – An intriguing insight into a future world where facsimiles of lost loved ones are agonisingly-close to perfection.

Salmone, @chrispenycate – This classical rhyme seduces the reader with “thinly-veiled” bibilical references. Heady stuff.

The Valley of the Veiled, @Pedro Del Mar – A dying climber is rescued by a group of mysterious, masked figures who appear benign… for now.

Wedded Bliss, @nixie – An arranged marriage takes a disturbing turn when the truth is unveiled. They say that love is blind...

Dance Of The Seven… @M. Robert Gibson – This richly-layered rhyme of a burlesque performance stripped back to the bare bones really gets under your skin.

Dark Harbour, @Vaz – Whilst a voracious oceanic predator stalks the stygian waters of this shadowy realm, its agents prove to be a real pain in the neck.

@RJM Corbet .... THE VEIL .... RJM writes us a nice poetical piece of philosophy. Which points out the truth that when "Light has come into the world the darkness will not overcome it."

Thanks, Parson ;) That was quick ...

(I love your entry this month: am just trying to decide whether it's a good thing or a bad thing -- for the puppy, lol)

M. Robert Gibson -- An eerie beauty fills this biologically inspired ballad.

Vaz -- The author creates a dark, surreal, and otherworldly vision.

RJM Corbet -- The philosophical musings of this introspective tale lead the reader to ponder the meaning of truth.

Thank you Victoria Silverwolf

Interesting that we got two poems on Salome, and so closely together.

I think this is a great theme and genre, and certainly gets the brain juice pumping in a different way. Does anyone else seem to get slightly more motivated when the genre/theme choice are a bit more "out there?"

@Dan Jones .... Her .... Dan reminds us that out of death, life arises. A truth the vegetable garden knows and learns continually.

@mosaix .... Proof At Last .... What do you get when you cross an 19-20th century author and spiritualist, with a time traveling prince of skeptics? Mosaix's fine story.

I keep dithering about having a go at reviewing in writing challenges, but I like so many different genres and styles it wouldn't work too well.

You'd get:-
"Ooh, I like this story"
"Ooh, I like this story"
"Ooh, I like this story"
"Ooh, I like this story"

:p
