Suggestions for classic car for epic road trip to Hell

Y'all be in such a hurry to get to hell; with all your hotrods and two-seater muscle cars.
(I'm not going to even mention those little cars that came from hell. Why would they want to go back?)

Relax. Enjoy the trip. Take a car that has legroom. Space to relax at the bar, and ignore the chauffeur.

How about a 1930 Bentley?

Hmmm... I dunno. I mean, yes my little kitsune's elder brother is a stick-in-the-mud but not quite *this* stick-in-the-mud.

Of course the other option is to switch to two wheels and go for a Harley. Like a bat out of hell...

Hmm... that's an interesting idea... might incorporate it somewhere in the story but for now, the two intrepid little supernaturals (they are, literally, small in stature) are in a car...

Cars - what draws a character to them says a lot about the character.
Speed, power, masculinity and so on. Your characters are petite... they'd need to reach the pedals. Some of these fabulous grunts of a car would be miles to powerful (no power steering folks)
Your characters sound like their are full of personality so I present to you, the 1950s MIRCOCAR genre:
In the uk we termed them Bubble Cars actually Issetta and Heinkel (darker blue), doors open on the front not sides. VERY LIMITED SPACE inside. Back seat is mostly for the picnic basket.

Still in the 'Different' range, the Citreon 2CV -
More room in the back some came with a canvas roll back roof - big enough to fit a family in. All three have uniquely whiney engines.

Not remotely Power cars, but they can nip through alleys which would destroy the fine paint work of a shelby or the gaw-jus TVRs

Okay, current frontrunner candidates:

Delahaye Aerodynamic Coupe, 1947 - suggested by @dannymcg (because it's super cool looking - so elegant!)

1965 Shelby Cobra - suggested by @Plucky Novice (because it's something Emma Peel might drive and stylish enough to satisfy my little kitsune's discerning elder brother)

Late-fifties Austin Healey Frogeye Sprite - suggested by @HareBrain (because upon further pondering, cute but evil-looking might fit the bill)

Indeed! Cars should reflect their drivers/owners... thing is, this is my little kitsune's elder brother's car (he's Death's half-kitsune High Butler, a fussy, efficient stick-in-the-mud with loads of attention to detail on the outside but secretly has extensive tattoos a la yakuza underneath). So the car would reflect him more than it does her.

He is 6ft tall while his little sister is 5ft 1/4 ins tall... surely there's a classic car somewhere that can adjust for both heights? :)

And yes - my two little characters are full of personality... so full of personality that they have been driving me bananas singing their road trip songs on top of their voices. Girls Just Wanna Have Fun on loop, anybody?

NOTE: Oooh... forgot about the "no power steering" bit but it probably doesn't matter since they are all in the Afterlife and can do some magic thingies to make it run smoothly... as if it has power steering haha!

@Cathbad @HareBrain Nope - that blue colour in the picture would suit my Death just fine :giggle:

Also @HareBrain - This is Death. He can snap his fingers and his car would change colours for him. He's not as big a design maven as Time but he does all right for himself...

@millymollymo And thank you for pointing out that the choice of car model will likely need to take into consideration the two petite adventurers needing to reach the pedals.

I come from a family of very petite women (at least, height-wise) and the shortest amongst us have to pull the driver's seat all the way forward, put a cushion or two on the seat itself, and wear heels in order to reach the pedals on some of the larger cars (to wit: my shortest aunts who are between 4ft 8ins and 4ft 11ins).

I saw one of these recently. A guy was taking a road-trip with a few friends. The Mercedes looked incredible in the metal. Alongside modern supercars like the McLaren P1 and Ferrari Enzo it didn't look out of place at all.

I should also think that once my little kitsune and her water elemental partner put it through the wringer on the road to Hell, the former's elder brother (owner of said car) is going to end her :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:
