October 2018 seventy-five word discussion thread

@Boaz Untitled: When the legacy of the dying undead is placed within you, preserving the legacy of humanity may require the sacrifice of one's own legacy.

@Vince W .... Legacy 3000 ... Vince imagines a legacy that denies an eternal legacy and yet promises it at the same time.

@Joshua Jones .... The Beneficence of Kings ....
Joshua points us to the fact that some legacies are earned, and some are forced upon you.

@Boaz .... Untitled .... Boaz shows an earned legacy that brings real sorrow.

Edit: I found it interesting to compare my 2013 entry to my current entry (about to be posted). Those entering in 2013 might also find it intresting to compare their entries as well.

I had to zip off and check my entry and who I voted for as soon as I saw this (above). Needless to say I shall not be rehashing my voteless stinker of May 2013. :D

It was somewhat saddening to see all those names of members who have passed on to other things in one way or another. I really miss Alchemist (and his frequent votes) et al.

I felt much the same, pH. Sometimes I'll visit old threads, just for the hell of it, and get quite a feeling of nostalgia.

i think i started my merry 75 word journey in June 2013, so narrowly missed the last Legacy. probably just as well, as it would have been my first entry and would, no doubt, have been terrible...

I now realise, when I came to save this months 75 word entry on my computer, that we have had 'Legacy' as a 75 word theme before - in May 2013. Don't know if anyone minds, but if they do - apologies.

Compared. Mine was ... very different.

@Perpetual Man .... Tomorrow .... Perp sounds like the Prophet Jeremiah as he surveys what the sins of the present mean to the ones who will inherit the legacy.

@Peter V .... Coming of Age .... Peter reminds us that some legacies bring both great gifts and incomprehensible agony.
