Parson takes another look at the calendar? Yup, it says Nov. 5. Why are all these early stories coming so early? Is it the ease of an 85 word story as compared to a 75? Is it the end of daylight saving time in the States giving everyone the gift of an extra hour to write? Is it the theme and/or the genre? Whatever it is, we are nearing half ordinary number of stories for a normal month. --- I think that's a good thing in all ways except that it puts us reviewers consistently behind in our ruminations.
@Vince W .... It’s A Numbers Game .... Vince writes a tale which might create a little sympathy for the Prince of Lies.
@Ashleyne .... 1 SIN EACH .... Ash gives us a tale of macabre horror as she looks inside a serial killers mind.
@Heijan Xavier .... Eleven Hopes .... Heijan relates a horror of biblical proportions inside a prophecy.
@Cathbad .... Murder for Numbers .... Cathbad combines cryptography, justice, and a deal with a devil into a SF yarn to remember.
@Cat's Cradle .... Six or Seven .... Cat shows us how numbers can be a weapon of terror and torture.
@Aun Doorback .... Proverbs 3:5-6 .... Aun creates a scenario where the numbers fail and faith remains.
@D G Coates .... THREE-POINTERS .... D G tells a tale of basketball gone absolutely insane.
@Calliopenjo .... Computer Game .... Calli has devised a seriously deadly and devilishly simple computer game story.
@dannymcg .... Commute flight .... Danny tells a story which sums up to a very memorable ending.
@mosaix .... Now Look What They've Done .... Mosaix (otherwise known as the ten win man) makes me want to go "It's the only thing I could do half right and it's turning out all wrong, Ma"
So there we have it.
Nineteen stories in just five days. Could the impossible dream of 70 be attainable? Certainly the variety of the stories that have been posted leaves me believing that there will not be any lack of credible plots.
