DISCUSSION -- November 2018 -- 85 Word Challenge

That's a very fine thing to say about my little story @Parson Thank you
I realised what you'd written it in but just can't be bothered translating (especially after laboriously working out the Victoria Silverwolf comments on the 'spy' story challenge the other month!).
So if it's ok with you I'll wait until after the challenge and look for a translation getting posted. Cheers

Without giving too much there is an easy way around it.

Sorry @Perpetual Man but I'm with Danny on this one.

I don't know, one of the best stories I have written in a long time (;)) and no-one is going to read it. Sigh.

(Incidentally, just a clue as to read it, if anyone thinks I sat there, wrote a story then rewrote in binary... must be maaaaad, mad I tell you).

COFFEE!!!

@Perpetual Man! Now how is anyone going to top that? Brilliant! A clever story with an even more clever presentation.

I got my entry in, but it seems so small compared to yours. Binary certainly takes up a lot of space.

Being a computer software engineer most of my working life, I can speak binary. As the popular T shirt says, and I paraphrase, "there are 10 types of people in the world, those who understand binary and those who don't."

Okay ---- I had no idea @Perpetual Man actually had written a story. I thought it was a big joke and so I made my review a big joke as well by writing as if I understood what the binary had said and that it was the most profound writing ever. Using @Cathbad's converter I discovered a story which deserves an honest review.

@Perpetual Man .... Big Numbers ....
Perp gives us a tale about commitment to one's family and one's calling.

I actually liked this story and I didn't have to pretend.

@Eli Grey .... Morrow .... Eli tells us a story about trust, betrayal, and its inevitable conclusion.

@reiver33 .... Mister Luck .... Reiver reminds us that Luck is only really luck when it defies the odds.

@TheEndIsNigh .... The Numbers of the Beast .... End presents us a parable explaining an avoidance-avoidance choice.

@Matteo .... Seven .... Matteo gives us a cautionary reminder that we should be paying attention when observing a count down.

I couldn't help thinking about the Christian rock song of about 50 years ago "I Wish We'd All Been Ready."

@johnnyjet .... The Triskaidekaphobe and the Octogenarian .... The Jet man reminds us that when you are tormenting someone, you are the likely victim of your own maliciousness.

And the stories keep, rolling in. Good work everyone.

I know I've been promising for the past week or so, but reviews really will be coming. The stories have been piling up here in the challenges, and I have been busy with my current writing project. It really needs to get done.

Started one and realised halfway through that I'd already written a similar piece for another 75 before.

Struggling at the moment to think of anything witty to go with the theme.

@LittleStar .... Life Unlived .... Star gives us an interesting take on the idea of getting what you paid for and making the most of it.

@scarpelius .... Thank God there are no vampires .... Scar gives us a vision of mind control and what it might mean by the numbers.

@D.A. Xiaolin Spires .... Hanging between trinity and death .... D.A. brings us a tale that not only fits her preferred topics, but which could be a classic as she opens us a door to somewhere else.
