DISCUSSION THREAD, June 2019 75-Word Writing Challenge

How do we vote?
When the challenge entry period closes, the mods will put up a separate thread for voting.
Contest ends at 11:59 pm GMT, June 23, 2019
Voting ends at 11:59 pm GMT, June 28, 2019
So, the voting thread will go up on the 24th, giving five days to vote.

Welcome to the Chrons, and good entry on the challenge. :)

How do we vote?
It is more a question of when we vote. In another five days, more or less, the entries thread will be closed, and a new poll thread will appear as by magic. Then, as this is a seventy-five word challenge you will choose the story you like most (or dislike the least), assuming it is not your own, which would be considered unsporting. And, since this is considerably more difficult than it might appear, in this very thread, you can post a short list, and discussion (which is, after all, what it's there for.

You liked my entry?? Thank you! That really means a lot! Even I feel I don't win I'll still consider it a win if a few people found my writing interesting and surprising !

@Elanvitalseries .... The Last o.f Them .... Elan writes us a story which reminds us that preconceptions are precursors to premature departures.

Thanks for entering. Nice first entry.

@Robert Mackay .... Signal To Noise .... Robert writes us a story which underlines the maxim: "If it sounds too good to be true. It probably is."

@dgackst .... Beneath the Towers .... DG writes us a story which is both sad and smelly .... in a good way.

Thanks for entering. Nice first entry.

@Tywin .... The Last Bard on Earth and the Ballad of the Hive Mind ....
Tywnin writes us a story that shows us that true art will always find an audience.

And my entry is up.

Left it rather late this time. I had the idea for this story not long after I saw the theme, but sat on it for a bit to let the idea ferment. Was pretty impressed when I got it exactly at 75 words first draft.

It is a great choice for a challenge, thanks @Shyrka.
