DISCUSSION THREAD -- June 2020 -- 75-Word Writing Challenge

You certainly surprised me. After looking up the word, "Pastoral", (accompanied by your reasons), I must say, you thought up an interesting challenge.

Every month a new winner announces a challenge. Some people may groan, others may chuckle, while some may think to themselves, "great idea". Yet, some might be overwhelmed and faint when the theme and/or genre is whipped out. But you did a marvelous thing by giving everyone who enters this month, insight to your choice. Thank you bro.

I'm already thinking.................

Yes, how many times have any of us thought "there's no way I can write about that"... and then you do. It's great to stretch the old brain cells. I was probably one of the few to have really enjoyed the 'writing in the style of Kipling'; it was fun to go back and study his work and then to have a go - and realise how fun it actually was.

It just occurred to me this morning that perhaps only people raised in the UK would know what a conker was, and what they were traditionally used for (at least from an adolescent perspective). As such, a big part of my story might have been lost in translation.
