DISCUSSION THREAD -- June 2020 -- 75-Word Writing Challenge

@Joshua Jones .... The First Unusual Day .... Joshua tells us a story to remind us that "boring is good."

@Ambrose .... The Visitor.... Ambrose reminds us that in the country being nice and welcoming others is the way it is done.
Nice first story Ambrose!

@Calliopenjo .... What Am I .... Calli baffles me with a riddle and I hope my best guess is wrong.
Good so see some things never change. Spot on reviews @Parson!

I'm in and a bit late for me.

Not sure if it is pastoral enough but I just had this image in my head.

Wow, we're already well into two pages of entries and only 10 days gone; a record month perhaps?

@Luiglin .... Rambling summer days .... The Dark Lord does not want any stinking joyous song, especially on a beautiful summer's day.

@Marvin .... At last .... Marv reminds us to accept that there will be a few good endings if we don't give up too soon.*

@CarBear .... Divine Decay .... CB tells us a story that dances with the joy of death followed by re-birth.
Nice first Story!

* @Marvin also reminded me of a GREAT song and a GREAT singer.

Thanks for the welcome!

@Avelino de Castro .... Lamb Becomes the Tiger, inspired by William Blake .... Avelino writes us a verse of a victory over tyranny.
Great first 75 entry!

------
By my count this is now the fifth first time entry this month. Perhaps one of stats people could let us know what the record is for this kind of thing.

@chrispenycate .... Non Pastorised .... Chris gives the idea of terraforming workers a twist, followed by a hard twist to their actions, one which makes me go: "Oh, I didn't see that coming!"

@Starbeast .... Eyes of the Shaman .... StarBeast looks backward a whole milenium to point us to the truths which should be current.

I suppose that'd be me.
Well, ignoring the first challenge in April 2010, where there were 43 entries, in August 2010 there were 17 newcomers, while there were two months with 15 newbies - September 2011 and April 2012 (which was the record for entries, with seventy-five very short stories)
Chris gives the idea of terraforming workers a twist, followed by a hard twist to their actions, one which makes me go: "Oh, I didn't see that coming!"
If it didn't surprise you it wouldn't have been unusual, no?

Thank you, Reverent, for your comment.

March 2012 was my first entry in a 75 with The Dancers. Two 75s later saw the birth of the Dark Lord and his Minion. So, the blame lies squarely on all your shoulders :)

Great reviews as always! Good to see both you and Parson holding up the fort on here! I haven't seen Shyrka since I've been back. Is she still active?

@Joshua Jones According to as post made a few weeks back in the anon challenge discussion thread in workshop, Shyrka has a lot of life stuff going on at the moment. Not bad, I don't think. Just hectic.

Gotcha. I just missed her then. I'm sure I'll still be here when things settle down though!
