DISCUSSION THREAD -- June 2020 -- 75-Word Writing Challenge

@Perpetual Man .... Unforgotten .... Perp reminds me of that of the maxim: "There is no wind so ill as does not blow someone good."

@scarpelius .... The taste of a golden age .... When the present meets the future the definition of "golden age" may be in question.

@Maya13 .... City Dream .... Maya gives us a story which points out that our comfort is built upon other people's forbearance.
Welcome to the 75! Nice story.

@David Evil Overlord .... Death By Chocolate ....
DEO gives us a light hearted reflection on something a lot of us have attempted. And why do I suspect that I want nothing to do with your "chocolate eggs?"

@Peter V .... Maintaining the Status Crow .... Maybe the Four Laws of Robotics are a very good idea, even if they allow stinkin thinkin.

@M. Robert Gibson .... The Song Of When ....
M. Rob channels his inner Bob Dylan with a protest poem that carries a very uncomfortable message.

@The Judge .... Garden Gender Wars .... This story makes me think a herbalist is either a murderer or a detective chasing the Joker.

Surely you've come across mandrake, Parson? It's in the KJV in both Genesis and the Song of Songs, though granted it's translated differently elsewhere. (And even in the KJV there's no hint of it screaming when it's uprooted, more's the pity!)

Had an entry but somehow it didn't post. After I swept out the extra spellcheck words my upload lagged and it froze before it posted. Then when I refreshed it had gone past deadline because I hadn't noticed its freezing right off.
So close.

Of course I know Mandrakes, an ancient supposed aphrodisiac which figures prominently in the Jacob/Israel saga. I assumed (without looking them all up) that they were all plants. Did my attempt at some humor go haywire? Sorry if that happened.

And then there were two. It's been an honor, guys. @Ursa major @mosaix

I believe this in reference to the fact that she was one of only 3 who had entered every 75, and her string is now broken.

------------

@AMB .... Crop Circles .... When you are grazing with your mind on the fairer sex not much bothers you.
*You taught me a word, "tup." First I thought it was a typo for "cup."

@Ursa major .... What They Grow in the Country .... With Ursa it is as usual, every story gives birth to a pun, even if it's a baby manor-tee.

. So being overly susceptible to the notion of self replicating choccie bunnies I voted for David the Evil Overlords cautionary confection.
