Discussion Thread -- May 2021-- 75 Word Story Challenge

Although I would hope that the play on words at the beginning of my story was more than obvious to most, it wouldn't surprise me at all if people were not entirely sure what was going on in my story...

...but at heart, it was a lot less complicated in concept than what one used to see in the TV show Hustle.

Congratulations to @Daysman !

This was the first writing challenge I participated in, and even though I didn't get any votes or mentions, just seeing how positive and supportive everyone is in these challenges as really inspired me to keep submitting and trying to improve. I have lots of ideas bopping around in my brain and have always wanted to write, but have found it hard to get started or that I'll get a few pages in to an idea and be trapped by feeling like it isn't good enough or something, so having stumbled upon a low-pressure creative outlet like this in such a positive environment is really exciting to me. Looking forward to the next one!

Who else out there is like me, and finds the only creative writing they do each month is actually just here in the challenges!
Actually, the stories I post on here are the only ones I have ever written.

And I've been really pleased with the variety of stuff that's come out of my head.

Stick at it, Elle Telle. The feedback I've received on both the challenges and some pieces for critique that I posted has been invaluable. I'm definitely a better writer now than I was 16 months ago when I joined up.
