DISCUSSION THREAD -- JUNE 2021 75-WORD WRITING CHALLENGE

@Hugh .... Comeuppance .... Even the "Trickster" can be captured by a good trick, even one which leaves a malodorous calling card.

reddishbird: If it seems too good to be true, it probably isn't.

CupofJoe: Revenge is a dish best served in small, subtle amounts.

Marvin: Experience is the key to career advancement.

BT Jones: They say you should expect the unexpected, but that's unexpectedly difficult.
Hi, thanks for the me:giggle:ntion...

I don't know the answer off the top of my head, but it was something like 35. There are many normal posters who haven't. They may be like me. I'm drawing a complete blank on this challenge. For me "Trickster" has a lot of animalistic overtones, and I know very little about animism. It's worldview is utterly foreign to me.

December 2020 had 33 entries. Until 2018 I don't believe we had fallen below the mystic 42. So yes, we could indeed get the fewest entries ever, If you want a list of reasonably faithful recents to bully, I can offer BT Jones, G.T., Ian Fortytwo, M.Robert Gibson, Parson, Perpetual Man and Ursa major. (the last always being a last-minute sprint). It appears that challengees don't approve of tricks for finishing.

@Parson, could you do something based on a biblical story? Would the snake in Eden be a trickster, as an example? Maybe an allegorical tale of some sort. Just a thought, but maybe go with your strengths since you're uncertain about the theme. :)

Nice to see many newer folks entering this month... I think there are about 8 or so entries from folks who've joined since this past December. Some good stories, too. I've read them all, and I have a few favorites, but I'll not mention them till they appear in my lists in a few days. Plenty of time for a few new favorites to appear, before the end of the day, too! Looking forward to the last afternoon's entries, good luck, all, CC

eidt: And there's Moonbat! Good one!

I found it terribly challenging as well!

Whatever whisper of an idea for this challenge I've had has indeed been linked to the Accuser and the Prince of Liars. But so far no story, but I do appreciate the nudges I'm getting. (You know who you are!)

@Moonbat .... Deity Wanted .... Sometimes a "Help Wanted" ad puts life in perspective.

@G.T. .... Succession .... G.T. writes us a truly medieval (or is that just plain evil?) story.

Well, thanks to the prodding and suggestions, I'm in. A little unsure about it, but well .....

And I'm in. I didn't think I was going to make it this month, what with being distracted by Euro 2020
In fact, I had nothing until last night but thought I really should enter so I cobbled together something for those of us who know the Norse myths.
