CC, on the sign I could only make out Mr Boggins. How's your eyesight?
 
My eyesight's McBoggined. Sorry, Drof, that is all I could make out, too. But just that there's a sign...that's something. :)

Yes, it's Mr Baggins afaik - it's quite a well known canal boat. They have all sorts, lots of micro businesses - there's even a floating bookstore. If I'd lived in England, that's something I might have considered doing! What we need is @chopper - he knows loads about them, and does quite a bit of canal boating, as opposed to the gongoozling* most of us do

*the term the bargees use for the people who walk past the boats and say, 'oh, look at that lovely boat. It's even called Mr Baggins. How cute. Must photograph that for the chrons!'
 
Mr Baggins? Then that 2nd line must be "There and Back Again."

It looks like the boat is moored at the other bank. I can vaguely see another boat lying in front(?) of it, on the left side.

I've been on a few narrowboats, and even worked in a waterways museum, which preserved the history of narrowboats, barges, and lighters. But, I'm not as knowledgeable about the day to day workings as @chopper is. He's spent time travelling about in them. I've spent more time on and around the sea than on canals and rivers.

A question though. Has anyone seen the spider who created that web? Or is it behind you?
 
Weird as it may sound but Harrison Ford and Calista Flockhart had a holiday on one of these down on my local canal network. Imagine walking, cycling along or sitting fishing to suddenly see Han Solo/Indiana Jones cruising past on a canal boat.

You live near the Llangollen? It’s gorgeous. We did it the year after Ford and every local claimed to have met him!
