DISCUSSION THREAD -- MAY 2023 -- 75 Word Writing Challenge

@rejndzer87 .... The cost .... Some obsessions are just too much to count the cost.

@therapist .... Alien .... It is possible to follow your obsession to its logical conclusion but ...

@Cat's Cradle .... That Boy from Beta Prime .... Some stories are a demonstration of a fact.

@emrosenagel .... The Toad Who Desired a Prince .... Some obsessions take an unexpected turn.

An interesting theme, and one in which I thought I would really struggle to come up with anything; then I did.

Guttersnipe is the clear favourite for 'title of the month', and a very clever take on the theme/genre by CC.

Good luck all!

Hmmm, current 75 WiP is dark and horrible. I don't want to submit dark and horrible.

Must watch some Carry On films to lighten my mood with a barrage of bad jokes.

@Yozh .... All the Difference .... A story which makes me think of a Robert Frost moment in reverse.

@paranoid marvin .... Violent Delights .... A story with an interesting take on A. I.

@BigJ .... Who do you think taught us how not to be seen? .... A story with a moral hidden in the text.

@johnnyjet .... Who do you think taught us how not to be seen? .... A story with an obsession that cannot be denied.

The moment I saw the enticing theme, I thought no problem. But it is. It really is.

I must come up with something. Surely I can. Non-entry is not an option, I simply will not contemplate such an action.

Think

Think

Think, you damned imbecile.

The theme is so rich, so enticing...

I shall crack a tin of Neck Oil to lubricate my muse.

Neck Oil, mmm

Need my Neck Oil... but what if the fridge is bare?

I am almost too scared to look.

But I will, for I need my Neck Oil.

And if there is... (there simply has to be)

Where is that Papa John's menu?

@reiver33 .... Invisible .... a story of worrisome obsession which has a creepy true feeling to it.

@Daysman .... Machinery .... a story of living and maybe one with an obsession for life.

@chrispenycate .... Merely a passing fantasy .... is a whimsical story of an obsession hidden from someone.
*the Cats are great, by the way.

@AnRoinnUltra .... Obsessive Persuasive Disorder .... is an obsession story that just might be too familiar to some of us.

@Luiglin .... Whoever wishes to foresee the future must consult the past .... is a story of an obsession that may raise a stink in some quarters.

The Muse whispered an idea in my ear one night. It took a while to carve it into a story, but I got it done yesterday. A tough challenge, but enjoyable.
