You shouldn't really read any of them if you can possibly help it... but there we go:(

I finally bought a book! For the first time in months! Saw Joe Haldeman's The Forever War in a book sale for 50p, so I had to grab that!

Popped into a W.H Smith's today for the first time in ages. They haven't got a fantastic SFF section (mostly books from series, like Hobb and Jordon, which I'd rather buy cheaply from second hand book shops in case I don't like them). They did have a buy one get one free deal, though, and I was determined to leave with a book, so I picked up:

The Secret of Crickley Hall by James Herbert
The God Delusion by Robert Dawkins (a random purchase, but looks interesting)

It's getting the point of too many books and not enough shelf space, now, though. I don't think I can fit anymore on, and I still have about thirty to bring back from university. Some reorganistion might be needed (woop!)

Philip K Dick
Our Friends From Frolix8
Now Wait for Last Year
Martian Time Slip
Clans of the Alphane Moon
Galactic Pot Healer
Confessions of a Crap Artist
Selected Literary and Philosophical Writings

Gene Wolfe
Fifth Head of Cerebrus
Urth of the New Sun

Jack Vance
The Dragon Masters
The Dying Earth

Paul Coehlo
The Alchemist

Many thanks to the lady who donated 500 books to a local charity shop.

Should always be read in tandem with The Dawkins Delusion, imho. Both are completely over the top in their "facts" but if you read both, it's much easier to see the middle ground.

I think if went into that shop when they were there I would need a taxi home and be a lot lighter in lieu of beer tokens.:) :)

I got a very good bargain for one of Ursula Le Guin's book - The Birthday of the World and other stories.
