I come, once again, to sing the praises of the library book sale. This afternoon I picked up the following books:
Faerie Tale - Raymond E. Feist (I've been looking for a copy of this for just about ever)
The Third Secret - Steve Berry (likely to be somewhere in
Da Vinci Code territory, which is where this writer usually goes)
Interview with the Vampire - Anne Rice (replacement copy)
Son of Avonar - Carol Berg
Guardians of the Keep - Carol Berg (this and the previous are the first two volumes of a series)
Day of Atonement - Faye Kellerman (part of the Peter Decker/Rina Lazarus series of police procedural/mystery novels)
The Chosen - Chaim Potok (replacement copy - very good mainstream novel)
The Word - Irving Wallace (goes to
Da Vinci Code territory long before Dan Brown ever thought of going there...first published in 1972)
Icy Sparks - Gwyn Hyman Rubio (mainstream fiction)
The Last Guardian - Shane Johnson (apparently "Christian fiction", which I don't usually read, but it looked to be a good story)
Crime Beat - Michael Connelly (the only non-fiction title in the haul)
Total for all 11 books? $7.
