Torchwood

HELP!

Can anyone tell me how to enter this web site?

http://www.torchwoodinstitute.co.uk/

I tried various extensions:

http://www.torchwoodinstitute.co.uk/home
http://www.torchwoodinstitute.co.uk/index
http://www.torchwoodinstitute.co.uk/2
http://www.torchwoodinstitute.co.uk/doctor
http://www.torchwoodinstitute.co.uk/harkness
http://www.torchwoodinstitute.co.uk/captainjack
http://www.torchwoodinstitute.co.uk/cptjack
http://www.torchwoodinstitute.co.uk/yvonne

None of those work. You either get a 404 error or the 'Access Denied' page.

I tried googling the Domain, but only one googlewhack comes up for it.

Edit: Maybe that one isn't active yet.

So, does anyone know the username and password to this one:

And I found this about the seeming demise of the Torchwood Institute in 'Doomsday' from: http://www.physics.mun.ca/~sps/torchwood.html
Last two paragraphs are a kind of spoiler though make perfect sense.

The Torchwood Institute was created in 1879 by order of Queen Victoria. Its mission: to safeguard the British Isles from extraterrestrial incursion, and to acquire alien technology for the benefit of the Empire.

The Torchwood Institute was seemingly destroyed in modern times when its administrators' hubris led to Torchwood Tower in London becoming the focal point for a conflict between the Daleks and the Cybermen.

But something of Torchwood has survived, and continues to operate in Cardiff on the site of a rift in time and space, the existence of which dates back more than a century.

Its stories will be told in Torchwood, a new thirteen-episode programme debuting in Fall 2006. It is the first series ever to spin off from Doctor Who.

Sorry for the double post. This Torchwood 'access denied' message seems to crop up everywhere.

THIS is a strange one, also asking for a password.

Also I've just found THIS site, which is quite odd

Thanks, but I think the torchwood.org site is a fansite as is the visittorchwood.co.uk site.

The torchwood.co.uk and that cybuscorporation site are official BBC TV sites. I think that they are not active yet or in the case of the cybus one deactivated.) Sites for episodes of the Doctor Who series did not become active until a few minutes after the episode aired.

The Brief History of Time website http://www.physics.mun.ca/~sps/drwho.html also has information on some of the episodes.

Not sure about both but I can clearly remember finding one of those two just after the original Torchwood episode (Tooth and Claw) first aired.

Anyone heard?

Apparently, if Im not mistaken (and I probably am) Torchwood will be starting in the autumn (I think late autumn). No other info though...

Re: Anyone heard?

Starting late autumn finishing Jan 2007 with Captain Jack making an appearance in Doctor Who Season Three late on.

I believe its also going to be 13 episodes per season.

The series will be much darker than Dr. Who with writers from Saphire and Steel there will also be some strangeness in there.

Can't wait!

Re: Anyone heard?

I'm looking forward to this too. I think it'll be like the X-files with a bit of Brit style and panache:)

Ooooh I liked that one...I'm really looking forward to Torchwood...

We watched a repeat of the first Confidential of series 2 last night and RTD gave a huge spoiler to do with the Torchwood series...He said Captain Jack is in charge of a REORGANISED Torchwood...Well I hadn't remembered that after 13 weeks...

Can't wait 'till October...

strange, one would think capt jack would be over comitted with so much horendus reality TV to do...

Wonder how he will continue being a "leading West End actor" if he's also doing X weeks a year of Torchwood filming...?

It's going to be more violent and sexual? Awesome, I can't wait. Those words 'violent' and 'sexual' sound strangely enticing.

I hope it's a success, I look forward to watching it. True, it could be a real dissappointment, but I think it will be a bit more successful than the K9 thing though!

I think this will be Angel to Buffy the Vampire Slayer; I have great hopes for Torchwood.

Hmm. I didn't like Angel as much as Buffy...

However, Torchwood should be interesting as it won't have as many restrictions as Dr Who. They can really get creative without worrying about freaking out the kiddies or alienating the "old school" fans.
