So I am not really a huge fan of Cat but sometimes I get confused by how much credit people who hate her give her. Quite a few people contributed to the fall of the Starks. For example, She did tell her husband to go to King's Landing but she didn't make him so freakin bad at the game of thrones. She says he can trust Petyr but a smart man would think "gee, mabye he has changed since she knew him and oh wait he just might hate me for marrying his dream woman, I think I won't pin all my hopes on him". Also, what kind of idiot listens to his mom, who has no milatary experience, when fighting a war. I would say Robb messed up the Starks pretty bad with that whole falling in love thing. He also wasn't too into pity when he cut off Karstark's head. Kipnapping Tyrion was a good move, trusting her sister to deal with him rationaly was not. About the being a bad mom thing, I think just mabye if I was crippled from the waist down in a freak accident at the age of 7 or so and in a coma, my mom might just be sad enough to withdraw from the rest of my family a smidge. Its really not that shocking. Neither is the fact that she doesn't like having the symbol of her husbands infidelity hanging out with her. Find me some women who do. Oh and misplaced anger a a father's deathbed is not really unheard of either.
