Skip, will mail you about the co-writing stuff, but system's packed up on me for now. I am in the process of doing another poem-type-thing, though, as I'd started that before the writing thing.
I wouldn't need to edit if I remembered what I wanted to post: Jsc, my reason for thinking it would be inappropriate was that it wasn't exactly the comic pieces the others had posted.

Right gang, I was thinking of old classics. Only choruses are coming at the mo. Not even done properly, but hey. Did I ever say I was perfect?

Oh dear system lord, all I could think of was a comeback anthem from Apophis to the tune of 'Stan.' If I can't write up the middle bits, I'll see if I can at least write that up later. Maybe.

N.B Written before my previous piece, and I wasn't intending to post any of it, so that's why it may sem similar. Also written after seeing 'Thor's Chariot', and cynically thinking what 'competition' the Humans really are for the Goa'uld.
They’re all on a mission into the Galaxy
One rebel Jaffa and our three Tau’ri
A colonel, a captain, and a doctor too
But if you ask me, their chances are few
For that Goa’uld Apophis, with a sneer on his face
Sees fit to annihilate the whole human race
And they’re the only hope for us, the USA could find
A couple of warriors and scientists academia left behind
But when snake-head System Lords
Come knocking at our door
Just applaud the heroics of this misfit four
So much for the trials of this team of out-casts
Doomed they may be, but at memories will last!
Maybe I'll go over to writing from the POV of the bad guys next time, this is hardly patriotic or even optimistic. I'll might also get away from rhyming couplets, before it gets too monotonus (sp?)

Thanks all for the kind praise on the Grease thing. You realise of course that encouragement will only make us worse, nothing's gonna stop us now (ooh, another filk idea; "nothings gonna stop us now" by Starship, any takers?).

ABBA, huh? I don't know where that verse came from, Skip if it's a parody of anything. I can't say I know too much ABBA, but 'Stan' should be a good one, haven't heard it in ages, even with my sister's special addition album. (She plays me stuff whether I like it or not.)
