My dad is USAF Lt. Col (ret). He looked at a photo of the uniforms and said he thought that most of the medals looked faked; a few of them were real. (wings, etc). But he wasn't looking at a phot that is that clear.
 
Quake

Quake = bad. Getting SCUD'd in Saudia Arabia in 1991 = bad.

Given option? I'll take quake.
 
Maybe Shiloh they just better keep out of Southern California and only have the kind that is deep deep in the earth NOT the Northridge kind or the New Madrid kind! But I am terrified of tornadoes so I think as most of us survive earthquakes even when the gas line explodes...Shudder.. yeah, what is the third option!
 
hey, unless they happen to drop right on your head, you usually have radar to tell you where the twisters are...and even if you look out your window and flashback to dorothy...make a dash for the basement...course round here if the tornado sirens go off...heck half of us go outside to see what's going on...and if i'm gonna get blasted by some wind i wanna see it dog gone it.(course i've lived in kansas my whole life, only seen a tornado once...and if i see another one i really wanna have my camera with me...)

quite frankly in a thunderstorm you're far more likely to get struck by lightning than get hit by a twister...

and the ones like they have in twister...you know the big almost sentient, i'm gonna last all night(they usually don't by the way) are like 1% of all tornadoes, most of them are little f-1's with 90 mph winds...a severe thunderstorm can do more damage...

but...i'll take a twister over an earthquake...a) they can usually predict them or at least the chance for them
b) you can go into the basement...where can you go in a quake? unless you're in the air you're sorta fubared.

i agree with the one who said that jack could take hammond's job and someone esle would replace him in sg1, but as a 2ic, cause sam will take command of the team, but then it wouldn't be that funny because..er because....god i can't writee, bl

1st - i'll say that i agree - there can be no SG-1 w/o Jack -
and no - Jack's not too old, and who says that a guy can't look good just b/c he's over 50? anyone seen Sam Waterston lately? he's nearing/at 60 -- not bad for an 'old man' huh?

2nd -- um - oh, i have no idea what i was gonna say here --

i think i remember someone saying at one point that if the SG-1 ppl stop making new eps -- that they wouldn't mind seeing a 'spin-off' of sorts - maybe slide into SG-2 or one of the other teams -- aren't there like 13 now? just pick a number and build a team and send them on their way --

Michael T. Weiss definitely has the sense of humor to take on a role similar to RDA's - believe me - Jarod may not show it, but MTW is a riot! (check out the Operation:Save The Pretender website- there's a link to an audio chat and you can listen to MTW - he's great!!)

hmmmm - who else might be good in a role like that -- Robert Davi from Profiler would fit -- not becoming Jack - b/c no one else can be Jack, but he could fill a command-type role ---

ur kiddin! JACK CAN'T LEAVE!!!!!! RDA miught be 51 but hes a very fit 51. Its not like he even does his own stunts!! Dan Shea (sargent Stiller) does all his stunts so really Jack is only there for the acting. But truthfully, if anyone overtook RDA's role as Jack, they would be laughed at because no-one can do a good a job as RDA!!
