BTW, Jaffa cakes are a brand of cake, muffin and bread mix in the store. They are in little blue and white boxes.

Also, spelling note.

The gate is the Chapa'ai. But in egyptian ch=sh so they pronounced it shapa'ai.

You are watching the trailer for Atlantis and think "that is a cheap ripoff of the Stargate earth glyph and title sequence. (Ok, who ate the cookie over the top of the mountain?...Give it back.

You see a car and wonder if there is a way to make a bumpersticker that says:

"My other car is a Death Glider"

"I'd rather be driving a Hatak"

"I stop for system Lords."

"I said kree, not tailgate"

"I'd rather be gating"

"My jaffa beat up your Honor student."

"My Iris stopped your Jaffa"

and i've heard that about Atlantis too -- it sounds a lot like SG -- someone posted something on the SG-9 yahoogroup about it - even interjecting rather humerous comments that related it back to SG -- very funny - i can post if here if anyone wants (gotta go find it)

yeah, I noticed the similarities when they first starting showing previews for Atlantis on the beginning of my daughters movies :) I posted it here back about oh, 20 or 30 pages :)

yeap, took the kids to see Atlantis, lost my fingers trying to count the similarities. kept me awake though, and it was even kind of good for that very reason. love stargate:nuts:
 
Haven't watched Atlantis yet but I'm glad someone else thinks that they used the Startgate Earth glyph. When the commercial first came out I'd yell, "STARGATE!" all excited, & then, "Oh s**t that's not Stargate, they stole our symbol!" It looks like a good movie anyway & seeings how I have a nephew that I already use as an excuse to go into toy stores, when I really want to go & play with the toys (hey we can still play at 24) I'll use him as an excuse to go see the movie. Love the bumper sticker logos, don't own a vehical though.

cranky doesn't even begin to describe it. when my computer was down and my cable was out (not to mention the whole summer of reruns anyhow) my family began to give me a very wide berth. they learn fast.:evil:
 
I know what you mean......no one and I mean NO ONE calls me or tries to talk to me while stargate is on......they all learned that one fast!

it's kinda like that most of the day -- ppl are at work and in school (well, maybe not in school now, but some ppl might be) - and it's summer - ppl go to the beach and the pool - who wants to be stuck inside??
