Hmm, all those are me perfectly, Grim (just dropped by from the Stargate Website, Ausgate Command thread)...except for the phone number one....

If you'll excuse me, I have to go paste glyphs over the numbers on my phone now.... would 0 be the the Earth Glyph? Oh, now I'll have to transcribe all my phone numbers down as planet addies, and/or learn to draw the glyph REAL good.

I'm new, bear with me, Kree. I only just got into Stargate this past March 2001.

1. you bought a DVD player so that you can buy the first season boxset of Stargate that only just came out May 22, 2001 in Canada

2. you watched the whole boxset of season 1 within 3 days of buying it.

3. you've watched Stargate non stop since then by downloading them from the internet.

4. it took only a month of constant watching to catch up on 4 seasons of Stargate.

5. you used up your 40 free hours of internet access for the month within 6 days of month's start becasue you were watching & downloading Stargate.

6. you've been up until 4:30 am since the 6th of the month because you now only have free access through your university after midnight.

7. you are always on the look out for the Shappa-I & you're mad at yourself for not taking a photo of the Shappa-I when you did see it once up at school...Simon Fraser University (Burnaby, BC)even though you weren't into the show at the time. I've since detemined that it was "Pretense" from season 3 being filmed

8. you make the 1/2 hr. climb up the 40-55 degrees slope up Burnaby Mountain (there's a bus strike on) in hopes of seeing the Shappa-I, because your friend phones you at 7:30am to say she saw film trailers up at SFU (they have filmed many episodes up there, unfortunately it was a dog show or something being filmed)

9.you start calling people, Shofa!

Kree, so what are Jaffa cakes? and how come the SG teams don't emerge from the gate covered in frost anymore?

... (okay - i fit into the category of Jack-isms) - you say 'ya think' more than 2x's a day -- (i use it all the time!)

... compy wallpaper/screensaver is SG-1 related

... you can correctly id all 39 glyphs on the earth stargate (which means you'd be really good at the dialer simulation games on the above mentioned stargate sites)

... you know both Christopher Judge and Peter Williams were on MacGyver, and you know which episodes.

(btw - to Highlander fans PW = Peter Wingfield not Peter Williams, so i kinda get confused on some of these sites - eek)

...you know which episode of Highlander The Series Michael Shanks was in - and have seen it (at least once - i'm i highlander fan, so i have that ep - it's not very good - but Michael does a good job in his miniscule role)

...you've seen the episodes of Sisters w/ Carmen Argenziano (Sam's dad) -- (yeah - he really was on there - police captain or something)

Read Stargate fic, have a folder in favorites that contains about 20 SG-1 related sites.

And lets not even get into the Yahoo Groups!

Hi Highlander II, I'm a Highlander fan too (the show not the movies...except the last one). Haven't watched it in over a year though, don't get the channel anymore. Methos/Peter Wingfield fan personally. So what happened in the episode that Michael Shanks was in & who did he play?
 
when you find out that you know much more about ancient mitology, astrofisics and archeology and you just think if maybe you should change your carrer from biology to anthropolgy and linguistics........just to meet a nice guy.:D :blush:
 
YKYBWTMS When actually listening to Sam's science stuff helps you in physics gcse. No, really, it was the red shift. Well, I suppose I could also put it down to watching 'Equinox' and other such documentaries too much.

1st - Morrigan and Willow -- chulak = http://www.gatewatch.net/chulak -- get thee there -- become a system lord!

2nd - Morrigan - Koala and I talk over in the Chit Chat forum, and on Stargate Technical and, i think, Stargate Conspiracy Theories - (haven't been to that one in a while - not a real busy forum)

3rd - Highlander episode "The Zone" - well, pretty much, the episode is boring - Duncan's gotta help Charlie work something out in a place called 'the zone' - part of a 'lower class' neighborhood - Michael Shanks is in the flashback sequence, he plays a miner's son -- (i can tell you exactly what happens if you want, but don't want to include spoilers if ya wanna wait)

4th - <gasp> your not a fan of the movies? (my Connor MacLeod muse is pacing now, not real happy) - have you seen the movies? believe me - they kick @$$ over the series -- however - you get marks for being a Methos fan! (get thee to the Highlander Forum and post under the Methos thread!)

5th - i have no idea what jaffa-cakes are, so i can't answer that question - sorry
